The education is good there a couple bad teachers here and there but it's mostly great teachers. Socially it's not that great there is no physical bullying not much verbal either, but unless you have grown up there and are rich athletic and white you will not fit in. While I do play to sports and my parents have comfortable jobs, I didn't grow up there and am not white. I would recommend this school educationally but for happiness of a child I would try to find somewhere else.

This district seems to be holding morality together, making it healthy for children to gain a good education. I would highly recommend!

This school - like all schools - will provide different experiences to different students and parents, depending on a lot of things. My son attended CB East and was well prepared for college. He could have been a bullying target, but he wasn't. He found his friends in common (non-athletic) interests. We got what we put into CB East - we expected him to study, do his homework, prepare for the SAT - and he did al that and graduated happy and with honors. Ignore the shallow one star ratings.

Teachers, administrators, & staff are excellent & professional. They all sincerely care about studentsÂ’ education & as people. They have prepared their students with precision. Counseling services are expert, & teachers & administrators strive to improve when they find a challenge.

I wouldn't know action wise, but counselors have been known to lie to students in order to make them feel better...

best teachers I've had, the administration knows how to hire

Really not a good place to be unless you've grown up there since you were born, you always would need to be wealthy, preferably white, and popular to feel okay here.

I graduated from East in 2015. East is an excellent community that supports academic success, athletics, and the fine arts. Every student has a purpose, and the teachers actively assist the students in accomplishing their goals. I wouldn't have wanted to go to any other school, I loved East.

I graduated from CB East in 1985. I was provided a safe environment with elitist friends . Our school was always filled with children of the wealthy and privileged. This, in and of itself, has added to the extremely high placement in upper tier schools by solely being able to afford the top tier schools. Sports teams were good but not top tier. A great place to learn and be raised.
