The new principal is rude and disrespectful. She tries to belittle people in an attempt to make them feel inadequate or inferior.

I would have given this school 0 stars if that was an option. Bullying is a pervasive issue that neither the administration nor the teachers seem to care about, even when they witness it occurring. Attending this school was extremely detrimental to my mental wellbeing and, as a consequence, I have been in therapy and on medication ever since. I am now a junior in college. To say that my days at Chartiers valley were horrible would be a huge understatement. I was regularly called names in class and in the hall and words were written about me on bathroom walls that 12-13 year olds shouldn't even know. Once some students thought it would be funny to write a note saying that I was pregnant. When this was found, I was called to the guidance office to "talk" about it. Their solution was to call my mom and tell her what happened but that was it. The bathroom writing was obviously seen by staff who did nothing about it. I honestly hate this school and am still trying to get over what happened to me there. Luckily, I transferred to a private school after 8th grade. Had I not convinced my parents to let me transfer, I would not be alive today.
