I’m not a student or a parent, but I worked at this school as a behavioral support specialist.

The school offers a strong academic foundation, especially in subjects like Physics, Chemistry, and English. Many of the teachers are truly talented and committed to their students’ learning, and that’s a definite strength of the school.
However, I was disappointed by the functioning of the special education department. In my opinion, with a background in education and some child psychology coursework, more could be done to actively support and challenge students with special needs. I observed a lack of collaboration and consistency across staff, and at times, students weren’t fully engaged or supported, depending on who their assigned teacher was.
There’s a lot of potential here, but I believe the special education program would benefit from stronger teamwork and a more student-centered approach.

Additionally, more should be done to address and reduce tolerance of bullying. Every student deserves to feel safe and supported at school, regardless of their needs or background. I hope to see continued improvement in these area

We are a military family and had to move for my sons senior year. All the excess things he had to play catch up on is just crazy. Required community service and the Capstone project in order to graduate. Not easy when you only have the senior year to complete. Poor communication... never told about signing up for iparent until December. Signed up and no access code sent like they said they would. Find out hard way son is sinking and most likely not graduate.

We are a military family who has been in the school since 2013. I even work as a sub at the school so I know first hand that the communication sucks!!! The teacher do not update the grades in Iparent, my daughter now has to make up half of credits from her ninth grade year when the principal and her guidance counselor could have told me all last year and this year and wait until Friday three days after school let's out. Also I was told that my daughter's education file was destroyed last year the day after it was destroyed.

The low income students are over looked and set up for failure by over loading their schedule, or making them go to summer school and charging them extranomical price.

This school is the worst school ever . The teachers don't care if you get bullied. They pick sides and there are so many rules , like you can't do anything here, we can barley go out side and have fun like the old times and it's nasty and dirty inside and plus if you use self defense from someone who is attacking you , you get suspended like really

As a navy brat who has seen the way multiple schools have been run, I believe this school is very poorly run. The administrators expect respect from the children, but do not respect the children themselves. The guidance counselor is very unfriendly and does not give very good advice. They are very discouraging as a whole. They rarely give perfect scores in subjective assignments, as if to tell the kids that their best is never good enough. The schedule is unnecessarily confusing. The students are not very welcoming to new students. They have an excellent program for special needs, but I cannot say the same for regular and honors classes. They do not weight honors classes in calculating GPA, and to them an A in a regular class is considered higher than an A- in a regular class. I find this school very discouraging on an academic standpoint.

My son attended this school and I can honestly say I have never had such a poor experience from the funding aspect, to the teacher and guidance perspective who only care about themselves and their deadlines. The principal is horrible my son was personally invited to the inauguration and denied by the principal, the superintendent hides behind the "I had no idea " phrase all of the time

I ama7th grade student and I am The 9th Grade Leader. I can already say this school is awesome. I can tell what's like and I hear about it. They have fair rules and they could care less about texting and more. Gaudet is terrible and so Aquidneck school. So much freedom at MHS. A real grading system a real school. Awesome compared to other schools. That will be great when I get there. It's the only real school and wasn't affected by 4th grade coming into the middle school like come on. Middletown Highschool - A real school.
