2 of my kids went here. Both with ieps.
They are RASIST. They profile and point fingers meanwhile the family’s with $$$ slip through the cracks. This isn’t a school, it’s just like every other institution around here. If a family has $ they don’t care what your kids do to other kids.
When we left the school, my son had his iep and was failing 85% of his classes… 7 months later and now my son tested out of his iep, AND MADE HONOR ROLL by the end of the same school year. BAD TEACHING ! Careless adults being responsible for children is disgraceful!

The Narragansett Pier School has been an awesome experience. Middle school is notoriously known for having challenges. NPS is nicely run by Principal Mrs. Colleen Johnson and many other faculty members. Our family had a good experience with the special education department. I feel that they want the students to succeed and are there to support them. The curriculum is challenging. There are definitely a lot of cliques, but that’s middle school. There are many great kids that attend this school, and I feel it is an A+ for safety.

If I could give less than one star I would. The school is a complete disaster which is shocking considering the education of the elementary school and high school is exceptional.
I honestly had no idea how bad it was until I met families that relocated here during Covid that had researched and told me what a horrible reputation the school had.
The bullying and behavior problems are astounding. I feel awful for the most of the teachers and the students that actually want to learn. The classroom disruptions are a daily occurrence and there’s no repercussions ever.
No field trips, no fun activities, teachers don’t seem engaged, but who could blame them when they’re being sprayed in the face with windex and having to discipline all period long.
