I had a wonderful experience with this school. The staff is friendly, caring, and professional, and they truly care about the students education and well-being. The teachers are supportive, patient, and dedicated to helping students succeed. The school also provides a positive, safe, and welcoming environment for both students and families.
Im very happy with the quality of education and the overall experience. I would definitely recommend this school to other families looking for a great place for their children to learn and grow.

My experience and interaction with the teachers in this building has been outstanding. My child enjoys going to school and learns while also being an active contributing member of our community. We value giving back. While behaviors of some children in the building can be a distraction to learning, unfortunately it is the system that is flawed, not the teachers or administrators within the building.

There is little to no communication with parents.
Bullying is rampant, and when parents try to advocate for their abused children, the police are called on those parents.
There are 11-13 year olds vaping in the bathrooms, and the quality of education these kids get is trash.
This school is a really bad joke, and will have a lasting negative impact on any decent kid who is forced to attend.

I would not go to this school if you or your child are/is deemed as anything besides barbie doll perfect. This school basically ruined my mental health and made me dread going to it. If you wanna send your child to this school, and if your child is apart of say the LGBT community or is quiet or just overall different from other kids, I would not encourage that. As a student in this school, I review it as not so helpful and damaging. I usually beg my parents to stay home for even one day. That and the fact teachers don't care what's going on as long as it's not a fight that's verbally loud or a physical fight. If people are making fun of you and the teachers are right there, they're not going to say a word. Unless of course they say something bad that is loud or towards a "popular" student. This kind of treatment is unfair. Especially since they don't do anything to enforce their Golden Rule that they love so much and make us pledge at least once a month. This school is trashy, and one of the few things your child will get out of it is mental health issues. I know some kids who are graduating soon out of high school soon to become an adult who don't even know basic math such as multiplying. There excuse is that they went to West Warwick schools. If your child has difficulty learning, its very likely they will be put into a mental health class to be away from other students leaving them to only socialize with the other students in that class for the rest of the time that is spent at the school. I'd also like to mention there is a physical fight at least everyday. Most of the time the victim might get suspended along with the attacker. The school even has a police officer on school grounds everyday. That may seem safe having a person there who is supposed to protect your children, but the scary thing is why they need to have them there. The school contains of 10-14 year old children. Why would they want to put a Officer there? Is it because of the constant everyday school shootings in America? Or is it because of school violence? I say it's because of school violence. If they were that worried about people shooting up schools, they would have more officers onsite. I don't know much of what a person with a hand gun who stands and watches kids enter and leave the school and watches them eat on a good day. Hopefully this review will change your mind about sending your child to this awful school.

Some teachers are good. Some teachers are bad. After spending each grade in this school I've only ever experienced one field day, needless to say it was quite underwhelming. One of my close friends was s**ually a**aulted at the school and the school did take proper processions for the situation, which I will give them props for. One time there was a fight in the hallway and one of the teachers didn't stop it, only let it go on for another minute or two while he got another teacher to handle it. Maybe it's just because I met my boyfriend 4 years ago at this school that I give it props, however, it's not the greatest environment. Favoritism in the theater department. I feel bad for the teachers in a way, students constantly talk about them behind their backs, sometimes to their faces. But to be honest, some of them do deserve it. I felt like in health class the males learned more than the females, males learning about male and female reproductive systems and females only learning about female reproductive systems. Some teachers radiate negative energy, make you unmotivated and uninterested in the topic they are teaching. Overall, this school has its aspects of negativity, though there is positivity lurking in some corners. I also find their attendance to be unfair. If you miss more than five days in one semester you have to face some sort of punishment and if you leave early before 11am you are marked absent.

In all honesty this school was horrible, constant bullying, most kids are singled out by teachers, while I was there about 10 different teachers had made me cry. Its was terrible. Most times they dont handle LGBTQ+ issues at the school the most they do for the trans students there is change a name, but in most cases the student is constantly dead named and ridicule by classmates, their queer students are harassed on a daily basis.

My daughter has been attending this school for the past 2 years now, and I feel that the teachers and principles hold very high standards for their students. There are any programs in place for extra help in the core subjects. I feel this school goes above and beyond to give their students the best education possible.

The curriculum is one grade higher which is good, but aside from that, This is not a very good school. this school has a rude, and untrustworthy principal with many prejudices, and many of the staff members are tied in with those qualities, the school does not have a very good form of special education and I would not recommend ANYONE working in this public school or attending as a student. this school needs a new run of staff who are determined to give their students an education, and are accepting of anyone and everyone who may be attending.

My daughter goes here and the teachers are horrible, all they do is whine about how "they don't have time" to do this or that for students but yet the English teacher let's them listen to an audio book while she plays on her phone. If my daughter does badly on a test she gets a chance to "revise" it every time. More for the teachers's benefit than the students I'm sure. The teachers at this school are lazy and only there for a paycheck. My daughter's handwriting, spelling and grammar are terrible due to the fact that it is not a "focus". I asked the teachers to email me weekly about my daughter's classwork and behavior and they said they didn't want to be obligated to do that unless I specifically emailed them first to ask. I grew up with teachers that really cared about their students and wanted to teach children more than the bare minimum and make a difference. The teachers at this school are nothing like that.

Horrible school. Mostly due to do lazy administration. Principal, vice principal, and many (not all) teachers show little interest in the children as far as education and especially problems that can arise. I've had children in this school for the past 10 years, it's only gotten worse.

I have had several associations with Deering Middle School and I have found it to be extremely parent friendly school. The school administration does not insist on suspension as means to distribute retribution and rather the emphasis is to keep children in school as far as possible. They are highly innovative in using extended detention instead. There are several initiatives in place to ensure safe and congenial atmosphere.
