My daughter just finished her 8th grade year at Chariho. I can’t speak highly enough of the teachers and leadership at our schools. School administrators and staff have such a big challenge in today’s world and Chariho consistently steps up to the plate; this district really does care about every single one of our kids. I’m so grateful to be a part of this community.

I have graduated from Chariho in 2014 and just have finished my first year of college. I must say chariho high school did not prepare me one bit for what to expect in college. Very dissapointed on how they prepare their students for further schooling.

My Son is in 6th grade and he loves it. The teachers are great, and the administrative staff is tops in our book. It is a great school for anyone's kids to go too.

This school has some very good teachers however,the leadership is a poor excuse for one. The faculty are limited due to poor leadership. There is a cold institutional like feel to this school in which one feels like the school is run more like a prison than a nurturing learning environment. The principal is a politician at best. He says what you want to hear yet falls short every time in his delivery. He has been know to yell at small children and treat 10 year olds as if they are young adolescents. To think that housing 5th through 8th grade together is going to work is beyond me. They put these iron clad rules together regarding drop off and pick up of our children yet the minute the students are dismissed it is a free for all, fend for yourself environment where children can be left alone after school with no one to look after them. It is a true CYA administration with no sense of real caring for the kids. As a very high tax payer and involved parent, this school is a true disappointment. If the principal were replaced there would be some hope.

I have been very pleased with Chariho Middle School. Her 5Wh team is excellent. She is in Title I and has improved greatly and is now at a 5th grade independent reading level. When she entered 5th grade she was at a 4th. I was worried about 5th grade being in a middle school but they are kept separate for the most from the 7th-8th and the bus ride with the high schoolers has been great. A great experience and am sad to be moving out of state.
