I just had a couple of issues scary to have a kid at school with health issues with no nurse on duty because my daughter fell knee was bleeding and her teacher told me after school she hurt her knee bleeding and everything and she said she’s not aloud to look so no band aid was given then my daughter also banged her head and they called me I was not available so they didn’t call her dad she had to stay at school with a banged up head semi did organized pickup my daughter twice I remember was just walking almost to the front of my car with no one to stop her I mean she was there the lady but she thought it was better to finish her conversation other than that it’s not bad.

This school is great In have been there since kindergarten it's easy t ok socialize and you instantly feel comfortable with your class there are also many opportunities open that boost your creativity and overall academic score

We love AS2A - They have provided a wonderful environment for my daughter to grow and thrive. She loves the small class room size and how they pace the work. It has been a fantastic experience I wish we could extend beyond 8th grade!

We LOVE this school. My children attended 2 years, grades pre-K, 3, 4, 5. This school was the best part of our tour in Newport (military family). We started at the public elementary school in Newport (nightmare). The principal, staff and teachers welcomed our children with open arms and create a very positive learning environment. The best part is that each child is on an individualized education plan. ASA believes that all kids grow and learn differently and they treat each child as an individual. This is possible due to small class size. I can't say enough about how much we love ASA, the teachers and staff!!

ASA is a wonderful school. It has made a big difference in my childs life. My child started there in Pre-K and contines to go there. There were some difficult times adjusting but the staff has always been there to help set him/her in the right direction. The school is there to help the children grow in the right direction. Highly recommend!

Our family is a proud member of All Saints Academy. We have watched our children flourish in this small but mighty school. The faculty is amazing at helping students find their strengths and encourages for the areas that a student need development. The robotics program has been very strong and the recent additions of the hydroponic garden, Arduino and amazing for student to experience. The school encourages the older students to mentor the younger ages and everyone knows everyone's name. This school has been a great fit for my kids and I am grateful for the experience and education they are receiving.

Newport County has many private schools that are financially beyond the means of most families. I am a grandmother and have two grandchildren at All Saints Academy they are sister and brother in grades 4 & 5. Both have been at ASA since kindergarden and I have to say that I absolutely love the school. The classes are small so the children definately get individual attention. The academics are the finast in my opinion my grandchildren scored 95 & 97 on the national tests. For a small school they excelled in the robotics program on a national level and they have recently introduced hydroponics and set up a make shift greenhouse soliciting help from Salve Regina University. But above and beyound all that the MOST important aspect they teach is kindness and respect. They have an extremely strong focus on anti bullying. When I enter that school I am always greated by name and usually get a quick update or a funny story about something one of my grandkids did recently. It really feels like a family. My grandchildren absolutely love school anhd to me that says it all. As with many small private schools, money is typically an issue. I know that ASA could definately use funds and hopefully this very deserving small school will win.

All Saint's Academy (ASA) has been so welcoming, nuturing and definetely meets all of our needs. Our son has thrived at ASA and looks forward to school every day. There are no morning struggles...he loves the uniform and gleefully goes off for another exciting day. At the dinner table we hear all about the science project they worked on or what their "God-story' was for the day. We are impressed by the teachers, especially Miss Dawn in Pre-K! ASA's Pre-K program is second to none and thoroughly prepares your child for Kindergarten. Our son has performed in numerous Broadway-style theatrical performances and has gained a real sense of community. We love that ASA has embraced STEAM; there is no wait list to get into a charter school, plus, of course, the added benefit of religious studies = a well-rounded education...and child! There are a lot of activities for the entire family to enjoy together and the parent network is fabulous! If you are considering ASA, I cannot encourage you enough to just take a tour... take the first step towards enriching your child's education and sending your child to a truly exceptional school!

ASA is a caring community of dedicated teachers! Dr Finnegan is a great principle who cares about his staff and the children under his care. He is a principle who is involved with the children's daily lives at school. For a small private school they offer an extensive educational program with some fun extra curricular programs to, such as Lego Robotics, a hydroponics lab, Spanish, art etc I would recommend this school to anyone who is looking for a nurturing environment and a good education!

All Saints Academy is a small school with a big heart. The class sizes are small so the children get individualized attention and nobody slips through the cracks. The small class size allows the school to place children wherever their needs will best be met. The teachers are attentive to each student and there is good communication between parents and teachers. For a small organization, the school offers a wide variety of after school activities, many which have a STEM flavor. Many of the activities are made possible by the parents who volunteer their time.

All Saints Academy is a place where children can grow!!! Each year I watch my son thrive under the guidance of his teachers and everyone at the school. When Hillary Clinton said " It takes a village to raise a child" All Saints Academy became a perfect model for that statement. Everyone at the school helps with each stage of development and the school becomes your family. It is truly a warm and comfortable place where everyone walks in as strangers but leaves as friends/family. I know that the children coming from the school will be able to be a productive member of society as well as be able to give back to the community. It is also nice to be able to be in a school where God's word is not only taught but practiced. The children pray and learn how to show empathy and compassion for their fellow human beings. It is encourage to show kindness, and to give to each other and it is cool to be smart and kind. I only wish that every child could have the opportunity to attend such a school. I know that if every child could be raised in this environment the world would be a better place. All Saints Academy is the best school around with everyone smiling and happy. It is Great!!!

A small private school tucked away safely behind St. Lucy's church in Middletown, RI, this school offers small classes, an amazing dedicated and caring faculty, and one of the best Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM) programs in the state. The school offers state of the art technology to all of the students, new computers and smart boards in every classroom starting in PRE-K all the way through grade 8. This school has been an incredible blessing to our family. We are a military family and the All Saints family has adopted us like we have lived here forever. We had experience with Ms. Gay (while she was doing preschool), Ms. Dawn (pre-K), and Mrs. Green(kindergarten). Each of these ladies was so gifted in bringing out the best in our kids (despite some rather infamous quirkiness!) and our kids loved their teachers and their time at ASA. In addition to wonderful teachers, the staff at ASA is second to none. Mrs. Klegraef in the front office, Mrs. Maloney, and Dr. Finnegan have all been so supportive of our kids and our family. I am more than a little sad that we can't take them with us to our next duty station! If you are looking for a top-notch education, you couldn't do better than All Saints.

My child lasted no more then 3 weeks in the ASA preschool program. When we 1st came to the school for registeration etc the staff was welcoming and attentive. Once our child attended all things went south. The teachers in his class are rude and mean. The schools communication skills lack if they have any sort of concern in my case toast as part of lunch they dont inform you til week or 2 later. I was given an attitude over what my son likes to eat for lunch. My son felt very uncomfortable going to school every time I would pull up stating the teachers are mean to him. This is a child in preschool I can just imagine how they treat the rest. If you are a parent considering this school for pre k run away and look elsewhere! The principle leaves alot to be desired. He has no compassion or wanted to even set anything up to find out whats going on and why his teachers are this way and why do they get away with it. It was like talking to a brick wall. I gave a months notice as courtesy they basically said no and "kicked us out asap" claiming they had other kids in waiting list. They just care about money and filling up spots. BEWARE OF THIS SCHOOL don't say you weren't warned!

Like others have stated Do your research!!!! Not a great INDEPENDANT school at all. Terrible experience with our daughter. School is def going downhill to say the least. Academics are NOT what they claim to be. They don't care about the students its all about the profits. They claim to be a christian school with faith but the way they treat kids and parents I'm surprised someone hasn't flipped on them yet. As previous poster stated the headmaster or principle is a joke he doesn't resolve anything he just is there for looks and has the most blank face when you speak to him he has no emotion unless of course you have money to give him then he is all smiles.

I would have to say that we were extremely disappointed with this school. Upon initial research, the staff was incredibly polite, kind, and attentive. Once our kids were in the school, this changed. We were not notified of events in which our child was struck in the face, for example (there were more than one). I agree with the cliques that were pre-existing. These were so overt and obvious that they impacted our straight A child's performance enough so that we changed schools after only one year. Other issues were related to an overall relegation of teacher's authority to the principal, who apparently dealt with even the most menial of conflicts (and still little to no notification to the parents). Having members of the staff at school functions literally "pretend they do not see" someone so as to avoid talking to them was embarrassing for all of us who see this type of action. Finally, they DO NOT do sacraments there. Although we were led to believe differently, the school is only affiliated with St. Lucy's church, and the program for sacraments is very cumbersome and not done through the school. ASA has a great potential. Unfortunately, it has failed to achieve.

Unfortunately ASA was not a good fit for our kindergarten child. Granted, we transferred mid year, however the cliquey"ness" of the school was overtly apparent. While we found the office staff to be very inviting, helpful, and easy to communicate with, this was not the case for our specific teacher. Not only did we have inadequate communication, our child complained about the teachers yelling and kids constantly in trouble. I'm not sure if there is an actual discipline problem or too much emphasis on discipline for this age. As for academics, I can't really comment. We were not at ASA long enough to form a sound opinion however they did seem to lag from the previous private school we attended. The facility itself also seemed to be somewhat dated and drab; not conducive to an eager outlook on learning. Finally, I was told by another parent that parent involvement was minimal. I can't comment personally but it did play a factor in our decision to leave after only a few weeks. This was not the overall experience we hoped for, especially considering it's a private school.

My child attended 5th grade and struggled to be a C- student. Last year she attended 6th grade public school and made staight A's (same kid for those questioning her ability). Teachers were mediocre (both from personal interface and hear say). The now former principal was a nice guy but definetly an administrator-type. He promised everything during the school tour but did not come through. ASA had limited public assistance, perhaps that is a contributing issue.

Overall pretty disappointed in the school. Our children went to this school for part the year recently and I think the biggest thing we didn't like was some of the bullying in the younger classes. We were surprised by how little the school and teachers would do to step in unless it was physical. The teachers and the administration would mostly make excuses and promise to change some things that never were changed. And the school advertises a lot of programs and they were not as great as they make it out to be. They have a average art and music program, the Spanish seems pretty good, the gym is also taught by the teacher who does Spanish and is good when they have it but our kids came home alot of the time saying that they didn't do any gym on gym day. The bright spot is their robotics program which won some awards this year and some fun field trips, but they asked parents to drive kids. The communication from teachers and the office was poor and they sometimes seemed judgmental and cliquey with other parents. The kids who had behavior issues would get alot of time and the quiet kids were skipped over. Not a terrible school, some good, but not worth it overall.

We live in Bristol but heard about All Saints Academy through a recommendation. Since I would be working nearby, we decided to start him there this year in the Pre-K program. We have been super impressed with the school and the teachers, extended day program and the principal. We are most impressed with the Pre-K program, especially the Pre-K teachers. Our son has matured and grown academically, socially and spiritually this year and we credit his amazing Pre-K teacher...Ms Dawn. We have had a completely positive experience and also have been impressed with the level of care and concern all the teachers have for the students at the school. We have also found the teachers and principal to be readily available to address any concerns or questions we've had. The Pre-K program is growing by leaps and bounds because of it's incredible reputation. We will be sending our older son to ASA next year (taking him out of public school) because we believe he will get the best education at ASA that includes an education in character building and christian values.

I am surprised and saddened to read the negative reviews posted about the preK program at ASA. As a parent who has spent 2 years with 2 children in the program, I have found the teachers to be nurturing, compassionate both to students and parents needs, and readily available to address all concerns. The program is over 50 families strong and growing. I can understand that not all families will find the fit they are looking for; however, to accuse an entire program of not caring for childrens basic needs, ignoring bullying, or quieting parents concerns in a public format seems unnecessary. I recommend, champion, and support the program because students thrive starting at day one. They are acedemically, socially, and emotionally ready to move on to K. I can't think of anything more I could ask for when it comes to my kids education!

This school was not a good experience for our child. We were very unimpressed by the Pre-K program. The lack of concern and wellbeing for children is appauling. Our child didn't attend the Pre-K for long due to the fact that he began withdrawing within a few weeks of attending. After coming in and volunteering to do storytime, it was clear as to why.our son was not wanting to go to school either. The teachers are cold and insensitive. If you are a parent considering this school/Pre-K, think again. There is another private catholic school on the island that is way better. The principal at ASA doesn't care about parent concerns, he just wants you to pay the tuition and be quiet.

We put our daughter in ASA because the Portsmouth schools only attend kindergarten classes part-time. We have been very pleased with ASA. Mrs. Green is awesome - she truly cares about the children and I like her consistent communication with us about our childs progress. The principle isn't very personable or welcoming, but that is overcome by the terrific staff.

My son and daughter attended All Saints a year ago. I was not impressed by the faculty or administration. I never felt welcomed there. There appeared to be established cliques at the functions and such. The principal was very distant and never took concerns seriously. I am happy we have chosen another private school option on the island.

My pre-k son has been attending All Saints Academy for the last two years for the pre-school and now pre-k programs and will continue to attend in the years to come. The newly established pre-school and pre-k programs have far exceeded my expectations as an involved parent and have been nothing short of great beginnings to a great education. Sometimes as parents we "over nurture" our children and it is partly the responsibility of our teachers to help children find their identity and self confidence. I can attest to the fact that my son has deemed himself The Ambasador in his class because he was empowered by his teachers and educators. All Saints Academy isn't just a school. It's a family and community that any child or parent would be lucky to be a part of...

My son began in the preschool here the year it started, had 1 &1/2 years in the preschool and is now in Pre-K. My daughter is now enrolled in the preschool program as well. I cannot emphasize enough how pleased we are at our kids' growth, both academically and as individuals. The preschool & prek staff are superb, as are the other teachers in the school & older school children who act as mentors for the younger children. I have found the families who attend to be super helpful and friendly. We feel so fortunate that we found the right schhol with the right balance of education, nurturing, faith, family and community.

I enrolled my first child in the Pre-K program in 2010. I had heard AMAZING things about the director/teacher, and decided to give this school a chance (I live in North Kingstown). Not only did the class and the teacher live up to my expectations, it far surpassed them!!! My son learned more than I could imagine any 4/5 y/old learning in a Pre-K. He was taught more then just what you could learn with pen and paper. He studied acting, music (violin!), art, yoga and so MUCH MORE!!!! If anything, this Pre-K overpreparred him for Kindergaten!!!! I was so happy with this program, I decided to stay at ASA and send my oldest to Kindergarten and my youngest to Preschool. I can say that I have been thrilled here, and would recommend ASA to any parent!!!
