I attended this school a few years after the split and loved it. The classes can be hard, but the teachers are pretty much all great and really do care and will help with any problems. But the true gem at fort mill is the band. The band program is second to none in the state (other than Wando) and has won 24 state championships and has been finalists at every BOA regional and super regional ever attended. Not to mention performing at the 2014 national concert band festival. The parent support of the band and other activities at fort mill is second to none. All students should consider themselves lucky to have gone to this school no matter what they did.

I graduated from FMHS in 2011 and attended Fort Mill schools my whole life. The teachers, administrators, and students of FMHS foster a tradition of excellence that you can't find anywhere else. I'm currently a chemistry at Clemson majoring in chemistry and minoring in mathematics. I maintain a high GPR and I know that I wouldn't have been this well equipped without FMHS.

I'm a parent of a child at the other HS in town. Knowing the administrators at FMHS and NFHS and how much competition there is among applicants to fill teaching and coaching positions at FMHS; I have to say FMHS seems to me like the greater of the two great high schools in Fort Mill as of 2013. They are still both great schools.

As a former teacher at Fort Mill I will say that parents and students both are lucky to have Fort Mill high. Unfortunately, I have and am teaching at other South Carolina school that come no where near the caring and calm environment that you find at FM. I only wish that other schools had the Principal, teachers and students that Fort Mill does. I miss it very very much, and not a week goes by that I wish I was still in the Fort Mill Family.

cops arrest students/family members for cheering '08 at Graduation ceremony, if I did have kids in school they'd be in a charter school not public.

I hate this school with burning passion. most of the students are so mean and always gossiping, like little middle schoolgirls. I transferred here from another state and have no true friends. I would rather be by myself because most I've met are like robots, acting like everyone else. I am switching schools for 10th grade because i dread every morning and feel isolated through the school day. its all about your End of Course exam & sports at Fort Mill, and you wont expect much else!! i feel like i am in training to help fund the school (with my test scores) instead of a calm learning environment
