I know nothing about your school except that you have some great students there. My grand daughter had scoliosis and had to have a metal rod put in her spine to straighten it. That was done last year at the age of sixteen. The bottom of the spine did not heal and a screw came loose causing her to go back last week for another surgery. Both times she was given a build a bear which is what they do at Shriners Hospital in Greenville. The one she got last week was donated by your high school. I want to say thank you for the kindness shown in donating these bears. They mean a lot to my grand daughter and I will never forget the this wonderful deed. Thank you to all of the students there.

I had reservations, given my child's quiet personality, about him attending this school but I have been very pleased with it. The guidance counselors have been extremely accommodating and my child is happy with the program he is enrolled in and the classes he has. Next year he will attend TCL to complete his senior year of high school for Battery Creek and his first year of college. He has been given more opportunities here than any of my children in any other states we have lived (we are a military family with four children). High school kids will still be teenagers but he hasn't had any issues and has made great friends.

Battery creek This school is a bad school. My daughter was bullied. I reported it in January 2014 and kept reporting it with evidence till school let out. I even told them I was concerned my daughter might do something to herself. They did nothing. So in August before school started again I went to them with more evidence and concerns. Still nothing happened till the girl approached my daughter at school. I called and yes I yelled but what else am I suppose to do. They gave the girl two days in school suspension. She went right back to bullying my daughter. Well my daughter had enough and took a bunch of pills. The school never call to see how she was nothing. I just went to dis enroll her and the principle diened my acces to walk my child to the class so her teachers can sign off. I just put second call into the district. Waiting. Hoping for a better out come but this is not they way children and parents should be treated.

Safe, sound and secure. Battery Creek High School has become the high school of choice in the Beaufort Community based on a faculty that encourages students, a great administrative team, and excellent support staff. Students are encouraged to get along with one another, build community, and learn! We are pleased with the well rounded education our child receives and the emphasis on life values and community building rather than test scores.

We had or pick of which local high school to have our daughter attend. We knew we were going against the trend but we selected Battery Creek. We chose BCHS due to a few factors; 1. We spoke to teachers that we knew from both schools. 2. Smaller class sizes and less crowding. 3. Strenghth of the strings program 4. Witnessing and hearing about the improvements being made. My daughter is now almost finished with her Sophmore year. She is a leader, an all A student in Honors and AP classes, and is playing a sport in addition to flourishing in her musical activities. We are very pleased with BCHS. There are improvements that will take time - test scores and sports records but progress is happening at a good pace. We have had no behavior issues and due to having teacher info from both schools we hear the behavior/fighting/drug issues at the other high school are more common than at BCHS.

I came into this school with a target on me, because of my brothers reputation. I no longer attend this school because of personal problems but I have to say Battery Creek isnt as bad as everyone makes it out to be. There are some teachers who aren't there for the right reasons, such as the chrous teacher who left the day of the concert. There are amazing teachers who care and will do anything to help. People are easy to get along with for the most part, and ROTC runs everything. I do have one complaint. If your not a favorite of the principals they will call you out for everything, unless they've given up on you. I was the sort of kid who speaks her mind all the time, and who ended up in ISS alot. So when I wore tank tops to school they picked their battles. Also, going to this school means everything your school does, or when people who dont go there find out you go to "Creek" they will compare EVERYTHING you do to Beaufort High. Everything,

If your reading these reviews, check the date. Our school has really improved over the last few years. At first, I didn't really like it, although during my freshmen year I had GREAT teachers. I had a few rough teachers, but overall they care, and really great with staying after school to help you. It's up to you to enjoy school, once you get involved the school is a lot more fun. By doing student government, you can even make changes. Last year, I wrote a proposal, to clean up the bathrooms, make them more sanitary, and more private. The changes were made immediately. Through sports, student government, plenty of other clubs, and a great MCJROTC program, I learned how to be a leader. And the education you receive depends on the classes you sign up for, and the effort you put in. Battery Creek is also really safe, they have a good security system, and (even though I don't like it) we have uniforms, and the administrators are pretty good about enforcing the rules. . I'm a senior, and I feel like Battery Creek has done a good job preparing me for college, through experiences with AP, IB, and community college classes. I'd recommend BC for anyone.

my daughter goes to battery creek, i did not like the school it same to me that that some of the teachers dont care. You have kids out of control always fighting. I do like Mr. burnes, he is trying his best at that school. I want her to to go to beaufort high, that school is no better. She will be a junior, this year so I hope they make some changes. Some students want to learn others dont.

i am currently enrolled in Battery Creek High and is going into my third year. the school is great and our principal is wonderful and would do anything in his power to help any student. Creek gets a bad rep from people complaining of violence and drugs, but most of those people turn a blind eye to Beaufort High, who has various gangs and has staff members who deal drugs to the students, i fell safe at Battery Creek and nothing could ever make me want to leave it. Before you say anything bad about it or judge it or listen to any1 else about it, even me check it out yourself its a great school. heck the majority of it is run by their ROTC

I love BCHS. The teachers are great, the administration is good, and it's easy to make friends. Turn a blind eye to the minority of students who don't participate and you'll do absolutely great. Mr. Burnes is great and really cares about his students and his school. I have great teachers who care about my education and future as much as I do. Plenty of extracurriculars from FBLA to sports to an outstanding MCJROTC unit. This is a GREAT school, you just have to make it that way yourself. Participation and caring about your classwork will really get you a long way here. The school is great and many parts of our school are fun and educational at the same time. Teachers care and are great. This school has really improved. This great school gets better every day. Students here have soooooo much potential, but don't use it; that explains the low scores. If a student here truly cares about his work, she/he will go very far.
