We switched from a charter school to this school. My kiddo enjoys going to school everyday and enjoys the different classes offered. She made friends easily and loves her teachers. The staff has been great and whenever I have brought up an issue, they listened and addressed it.

I worked at this school as a teacher before transferring to another school district and eventually retiring. I was in total disbelief the first few weeks at this school after observing the inappropriate conduct displayed by the students in the classrooms and in the halls. I witnessed everything from fights to students setting fires in the restrooms. The majority of the students roam the halls and disturb the other classes, creating a chaotic environment. I very seldom observed any administrators in the hallways.
Many of the students cannot read, yet I never observed any administrators from the special services department in the classrooms to render any support. Everyone from the principal to the administrators at the district level work separately from each other therefore creating a very disorderly and disorganized atmosphere. I can thoroughly understand why this school district is at rock bottom on test scores in the state of South Carolina and will continue to do so. I am thrilled to be out of this school district.

This is a horrible school for students seeking a post secondary education. Most of the students at this school have poor academic and discipline records. My child was previously enrolled in schools in West Virginia and Florida. Needless to say, the schools in West Va and Florida were at least 5 years ahead of the Beaufort Jasper Academy For Career Excellence. There is a NOT a school for students trying to prepare for a future quality college education. However, if you like ghetto schools with a lot of cursing, lack of discipline, and unpopular administrations, then this is the school for you. Otherwise, if you happen to drive by this school, press the gas and keep driving! Do not stop!

I think ridgeland high school could use alot of improvements inside of the school. Everyone wants to be the princple around the school. Its hard to learn in class because of the other students who wants to act up, like they dont have any home training. If i had a choose of going to another school i would proudly be apart of an beufort county school, just to get a better edu.
