North Augusta High School is a diamond in the ACPSD. That is saying alot for the district. Most of the teachers and staff really care. Education as well as mental health seemed to be top priority. We had maybe a handful.of incidents where it was unpleasant. The sports programs are top notch. I traveled 2 hours every day to take my child back and forth to school here even though I lived 5 minutes from a different high school. North Augusta is just worth it. We truely feel like we changed the trajectory of our daughters life by opting in to NAHS. Our daughter wanted to be there early everyday and stay late. So many clubs to be a part of. She loved most of her teachers. There was one staff member who harassed her and body shamed her about her clothes, just one. Hard to get that behavior out of some people. The school is absolutely beautiful and well kept. I am however very very concerned about the amount of weed killer that they use. The front office staff is not as inviting as one would hope. The students were great for the most part. Casey Roger's is a wonderful leader. Present and accounted for kinda guy. I do take issue with the monopoly that Wilson's photography has over the senior events and senior yearbook photos. I take a big issue with this. I have well wishes for NAHS and the future. I see the community growing at a fast pace and worry that the schools will suffer a bit. I also hope that we get to visit games and events in the future at NAHS. Thank you for being such a positive experience for our family.

The woman in the front office Sharon Cook Adams likes to bully disabled people. She will publicly harass anyone with a disability. Stay far away from this evil Mama June look a like!!

They will tell u no child is left behind but my grandson is in Special Ed his name is Juan Kutler the school will not let him go to school he has not been back to school in 4 months. we have called the board of education they just keep putting Juan on the back burner so now we are fighting for him we are going to channel 12 news and we have a lawyer all this because they will not let him go to school I have not ever in my life seen anything like this. they just give us the cold shoulder. Juan needs an education the school was supposed to send him to an alternative school but they said this time they cannot make up their minds to keep him 45 days or 90 days like really? if anyone else has had this problem please get in touch with me and let's stop this or we can do it by ourselves. our lawyer even said this was messed up but we are going to change this for I am sure there may be others that has been given the run-around.

As a 2009 Graduate, I loved it. I played Football from 9th to 11th grade. What many don't understand and have complained about is that the money spent on any of the sports at school is all raised from the booster clubs, expect the new field that is the only money Aiken County has give to the school for any sporting events. The boosters at this school are great and proud of this school. Does NAHS have problems? yes, as does any school. But, when the students lack respect for each other, teachers and their parents it can be a tough day. I witness great days and bad days while attending this school. I never felt unsafe or scared at school. I never felt privileged or entitled, that may be because of my parents. But NAHS set me up for successful civilian and military career. If I lived in the area I would send my future children to this school.

To me homework can be busy work. It can help some students but your average student looks at it as busy work and it can be overwhelming for some students who participate in several extra actives such as sports, BETA club, etc. As an Alma of NAHS I enjoyed my time and teachers.

While I attended the over whelming number of teachers where the best I have experienced in my learning career. Yes, as in everyday life you do have teachers that leave you scratching your head but, as stated before, most of my teachers spent time with me explaining thing I was unable to understand and guide and mentor me into becoming a better person.

I was in the 2009 School Hall of Fame class and held several leadership positions in the student body and have since become a Non Commissioned Officer in the US Army, a Team leader and manager at several civilian jobs and a volunteer football coach in my area. All of that was made possible with the help of NAHS and my family.

While I attended, Leadership from both the Educators and Students was excellent and professional. We all worked hard to make our school look great. That included within the building and outside the building.

As a student with a Learning disability NAHS and Aiken County supported my needs very well. They had teaches spend extra time with me on subjects when needed and supported my needs when I asked for help.

Having 3 different students who attended 3 different schools in the AIken/Augusta area, I feel I've let the oldest 2 down because they attended another school. I LOVE this school all the way from the custodians to the teachers to the administrators. My daughter actually looked forward to starting back this school year! It's unlike any other high school I've seen. Great student body, unique traditions, and is very progressive academically. If you're moving into the area, consider NAHS.

I have encountered some of the most dedicated and professional educators at NAHS. Furthermore, they have proven to be full of compassion and empathy. For example, the teachers and administration actually care about helping cultivate an atmosphere that is conducive to learning, growing, and excelling. Obviously, it is easier (and possibly more cathartic) to complain about some isolated issues: a dirty bathroom, a crowded hallway, or a bad experience on Taco Tuesday. And while these should be addressed, NAHS excels at the core ingredients of a successful school- dedicated teachers, strong leadership, parental involvement, and courses that prepare children for college and life.

I have had 3 children complete NAHS since 2001. All my children loved attending NAHS. I think we are really lucky to have such a great high school in North Augusta. The fact that everyone attends the same high school creates a very cohesive environment. The entire town supports NAHS and all the student's activities. Everyone is a Yellow Jacket fan!

I have had 3 children go through North Augusta High School. Over the last 3 years, I have seen a huge change in the school. The administration is more open to parents and students. The teachers seem more concerned about the individual students within their classrooms. Even beyond that, I have seen a sense of pride come back to the school and students. The actual school building looks amazing with the new portion being added. The administration continues to make changes to benefit the student. If I have a problem, I can call and speak directly to the principal or assistant principals. I like that. This is a small town and this school exceeds the definition of a small town school.

North Augusta High School is an Advanced Placement Academy that excels in academic and athletic programming. Advanced placement programming has tripled in two years from 317 to approximately 1000. Qualifying scores increased from 136 to 227. Advanced placement programming for freshmen and computer science was added for the 2016-2017 school year. New programming is being offered this year.

This high school is excellent and loves its diversity and traditions. The culture is all inclusive with the goal being to prepare all students for post secondary opportunities. The senior class of 2017 was incredibly successful with 91% of its students earning admission into 2 and 4 year colleges.

Athletically, every sports team participated in the state playoffs with a number of state championships achieved.

To top it all off, a new high school is being constructed on the current campus with a new freshman academy, cafeteria, media center, guidance office, and main office being opened this fall. Subsequent renovations include new math, science, social studies, and English wings for 10th-12th grade students, a new gym, a new auxilliary gym, a new performing arts center, a new baseball field, a new softball field, and a new band practice field.

My children attend this school, and we could not imagine a better school.

This school is disorganized. Teachers have no idea whats going on and neitger dies the principle. Theres been over 50 fights within the freshmen class alone but the system has only recorded 10 fights. Some of the teachers are rude and racist and some are not even qualified to be teaching. Food is unhealthy and gross and not enough to feed a growing teen. School is also pushing hard to be an AP school to the point where they sign students up for AP classes without telling the student and lying about what an AP class will be about to get people to join.

Excellent school with smaller than average class sizes and higher than average test scores. Excellent sports teams as well. Tons of extracurricular activities for the kids We love the school!

This school is absolutely HORRIBLE! They dismiss good education for mediocre athletics and spend more money on a Jumbotron than to refurbish the school. I couldnt go to the bathroom without someone being able to see through the stalls. Some are even held together by gum...GUM. The students walk around with such a high elitist attitude that you would think that the Queen of England ran the school. Bullying is prominent not only in the school but outside of the school as well. They run over every other high school in the area with bad sportsmanship and average grades. North Augusta High School is the worst high school I have ever seen and you will regret it immensely if you send your child here.

Im a grad of 94 and ALOT has changed since then I have two kids that will be attending a school out of Aikin county due to class size and over all. I've been on the teaching in of this school to and feel that school is what you put into it and where yo want to go in life you will never be 100% happy with what you are and where you go but you can make this best out of what yo have. Other schools might be best for some and not others again it's what YOU choise. I have seen and been apart of the "mob" in the hall and the school does need help but that also comes with money. So with that being said if ya donot like it change.

North Augusta is a great choice for schools to go to in Akien County. They are undefeated in every sport. The have a great learning system and they are the best in the county and top 5 in the state of South Carolina.

I think NAHS is "ok" for students to go But I hate the fact they're so disorganized, dress code is too strict for girls. I wish teachers gave us a week to study for exams, and help us more with HSAP. Girl bathroom are horrible ! they need to fix lock, so girls wouldn't have to use a gum! I hope 2011-2012 are going to be a great years for us!
