My experience has been extremely disappointing and difficult to fully explain. I sincerely hope conditions improve for the sake of the students. At this time, I would not feel confident recommending this school to others. While there appears to be a minimal level of effort to maintain operations, it often feels more like an obligation than a genuine commitment to the students’ well-being and education. In my opinion, the environment and approach do not reflect the level of care and professionalism that children deserve.

This school is absolutely terrible. There are fights every day as previously stated by other parents. There is absolutely no communication. Sent several emails and messages to several different teachers and counselors and vice principals and no response ever. Went to the school on multiple occasions and was advised no one could help me and I needed to schedule an appointment by calling directly again no response. I would sell my house before sending my kids to this school.

"I had a very bad experience with this school. My son was in a special education class from 2021 to 2024, and his teacher treated him unfairly. She was rude and would stare at him in a way that scared him, to the point that he refused to go to school. It was a nightmare for both of us, and my son made no progress because he was too anxious to focus on learning. All he talked about was the teacher. This school is not a safe environment for a child, especially one with special needs who may struggle to express what is happening to them. My son has never had an issue with any other teacher—only this one."

Nobody likes work, and we all know that, but that's not the problem. The curriculum is so... bland and unengaging. Most teachers here seem to not be the best with connecting with their students. I know this opinion is kind of bias since like I said before, nobody likes work, but still do better! A stressful work-load along with very few engaging activities make learning here miserable. It isn't really just THIS school, all schools have something wrong, no matter how small. If I had to suggest? Add a more engaging school system with activities that the students seem to like the most, and always try new ways of teaching to see what works best.

This school needs a huge reform. My kid has been working hard all year long to get A’s and B’s with no office referrals or anything. So come to today Monday 23, the day of the reward ceremony my kid did not get invited and I’m not just mad about that. I’m mad about the fact that plenty other kids who have been working hard and diligently have not been invited. Even a child with a major write up was still able to go. Even kids that finished the semester with Cs are still able to go. So my child got rewarded with some cheap slushies. And students with Cs got rewarded with the right to attend the ceremony. What does that tell the next 8th graders? To not try because you won’t be rewarded for your efforts? All you’ll get is a pat on the back with a good job. This school is failing us, no this district is failing us.

This school is treachourous, kids litteraly brag about having guns and show it on camera and they just disrespect the teachers even though they deserve it for how we get cussed at by the teachers and a kid brung a gun to school

Took over a year to get accommodations for my child with a disability when he had accommodations at the previous school. Some staff hostile to me as a parent advocating for my child.

Bullies aren't punished. We had a teacher and counselor take part in bullying activity through name calling, singling out and threats.

Since my child started attending there in 2017, it had been a constant struggle to get accommodations for disabilities. Bullying is common and not addressed. It is a negative learning environment.

During registration I had a very sexist and profiling experience. They believe just because I was a father I need to show custody papers. When I asked why, they said because mothers are the one with custody normally. Slap in the face to all the hard working fathers raising their children.

I'm very disappointed in the dress code policy NOT being followed through!!!! The kids still get to wear whatever they want. What's the point of the policy if even the teachers daughter wears inappropriate clothing to dances.

My daughter has attended this school 6th, 7th, and now 8th grade. She loves it. I've found the teachers and staff to be professional and courteous. She is excelling academically, she was tested and put in the gifted program and is challenged intellectually. The school is very progressive with college prep.

My daughter attended this school for 2 years ,and she loved it! The teachers are absolutely amazing! They go out of their way to make sure your child understands the work they have. I couldn't have asked for a better group of teachers to teach and watch out for my daughter!!

This school is to dramatic. all they seem to care about iis how we act, not how we learn. we geet in trouble from the dumbest things I ever heard. maybe, Northeast should care more about our learning.

My children have been here since the sixth grade. I am not impressed with the disparity of treatment when it comes to discipline of the Minority students as compared to the Caucasian students. It seems to me that it is more important in this school to take discipline extreme more than the students education. For the most part it's not so much the teachers although some of them do it to. It more of a problem at the level above the teachers. You can go to college and get a degree but class room is not "real life" to show you how to deal with students of color. Then again some people where not brought up to learn to deal with people of different nationalities and culture. Hats off to Ringgold elementary school, I did a presentation there for cultural week and they made me feel very welcome. I have yet to see anything cultural at Northeast middle school. Very sad!!!!!!!
