MPMS hasn’t been equipped with the adequate studio/teacher ratio in years. Sending your student here is setting them up for failure. The principal’s are there only for a paycheck and do not care about the well-being of your child. Your child will leave this school unprepared for high school. BAD DECISION AND I WISH I KNEW BETTER MYSELF.

This school is ridiculous they are extremely poor when it comes to the kids.Teachers are very rude disrespectful & more they argue with the kids cuss at them and more.I don't recommend respectfully I don't see how they even are still open.Principal very unprofessional it's hard to schedule meetings with her ABOUT HER OWN STAFFS.The teachers have a very smart mouth & attitude towards the kids.They don't have a nurse kids have medical emergencies and can't even seek attention because they don't have a nurse I'm surprised nothing has happened. They can't even afford for their 8th graders to have prom & graduation ceremony.These kids worked hard just for this pity school to say they may not have a
graduation ceremony nor have 8th grader week & prom.Thats a shame the counselor takes money from the kids she sells snacks she lies like she's funding them.To they majorette team the majorette team only performs at the school the funds are literally going in elsewhere.They only have a few selective of teachers that ACTUALLY TEACHES. The teachers tries to fight the kids which is terrible..This is sad honestly I cannot believe this.This school has the lowest middle school score in the DISTRICT the teachers stated that them selfs. My child left because of these reasons.They have bugs they have sewage issues my child got sick from their nasty environment.Cafeteria smells like mildew and poop.They don't inform you when your child is having issues.Im concerned about their safety and well being.Principal berry leach should feel ashamed for having kids like this in this day & time.Teachers don't have
credentials to work here.They hire anybody and everybody I could be a teacher tomorrow.l feel bad for their poor staff administration they must walk around with a heavy feeling knowing they have put these kids in such a pitiful & poor predicament I pray for the children up here.lf your child goes here check on them. Because it makes me sad knowing this.The kids can't even go to school knowing they are safe ok.I don't understand..They don't teach here at all.All the 8th grade teachers do is gossip about the children.In math class it's dived which one side is "the slow side" and the "smart side" the teacher did it on purpose and lets them know they are "slow".That really can really can ruin a child's mental.Just don't enroll your children please school is very low when it comes to score

This is lacks adequate teachers to the classrooms and the staff are difficult to reach and very stand-offish. The students are left unattended by teachers. The principal of the school does not care about the well being of the students. I wouldn’t recommend any caring parent to send their kids into this zoo called a school.

This school helps people with different learning disabilities a lot.

When bullying happens at the school they take it very seriously because you never know what effect you might have on that person

Every single week most of the teaches The teachers would give us homework everyday and explained to use what we did wrong if we missed a question.

Every-time something was wrong they would notice and talk to use private and counsel us.

This is our first year at Mt. Pisgah and despite the community rumors, it’s been a great experience for our child. The school is well organized, teachers are helpful, and I love the open door policy. Glad to close out this 6th grade year as I was uneasy about the transition, but things went really well. Looking forward to next year.

This school is terrible. The teachers with the exception of two can not teach. The school lacks good teachers and administrators. My niece currently goes to this school, and while her grades are good, she has not really learned anything besides what we insist on her doing at home during breaks and over the summer. I have had the pleasure of substitute teaching at the school, and I can tell you that this math that they have the children doing is ridiculous. The kids don't understand it, and the teachers can't teach it because they don't know it themselves. We are applying to private school for my niece next year.

My daughter finished up middle school at Mt. Pisgah last year. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience. The debate club was a great experience. Most teachers are very committed to the students. The principal and staff were great.

Some incidents could have been handled better, but parents were kept informed. I agree with the parent who posted in June 2017. There is a science teacher who should not be in the classroom.

The teachers in the 8th grade are wonderful, caring individuals who work really hard, with one exception in the science teacher, who was passionate about his subject but lacked the ability to control the classroom and didn't teach. Leadership is lacking. Classes were an oversized 37 to 42 students per classroom, well over the state mandated 35. We complained once to the district and one additional teacher for science came. Math and English were still too large. When middle school students created problems, the entire student body was threatened with taking away things (which were never taken away, so leadership acted like they had a parental temper tantrum). The worst was when the children had to be accompanied to the bathroom as a grade instead of the leaders dealing with their problem students individually. We would call or email to ask questions. Voicemail boxes were full. The guidance counselor for the eighth grade did not return voice mails, if her box was open to receive them, or emails. Middle school is hard; this school could be incredible.

Great school! The teachers are awesome and the kids are wonderful. Safe school with lots of energy and a sense of community.

Remember this isnt an elementary school, these kids are going through a lot of changes and the teachers are doing awesome with them. This school is a good school and I've read comments from students and as an adult I feel there comments should not count as if they are mad at a teacher etc they would down the entire school. Mt.Pisgah is a good school . the teachers were excellent and if they fuss or get on to a student it is because they dont want them to fail . the students are okayy most students are well behaved some students just want attention and do uneccasary things and thats why they get in trouble but the school is awesome and their food is okayy i cant complain this school is not a bad school at all its really fun you should really try this school so this school is wonderful so all you people saying that it is bad it is really not maybe your child got off track cause mt pisgah has a lot of people in junior honors society enriched classes so check your child not the school

Small overall enrollment so better teacher : student ratio's. Strong parental involvement and outstanding PTA board. Great Principal who is involved in all aspects of the school and attends all activities to promote the school and encourage it's students. Strong music program. Mt Pisgah needs parents of it's students to be present and actively part of the PTA and other clubs and organizations.

i go to Mt. Pisgah and am currently a 6th grade student. Here is how i think of Mt. Prison--- teachers are too paranoid and teach the kids what they learned in 4th grade. I know you have to review but not back to 3rd-4th gr. My art teacher makes sure we know our shapes and does not teach us the right techniques for our grade level. Teachers do NOT keep parents involved and hand out fliers for any little event LATE and sometimes AFTER it happens. The peers cuss and think they are more grown than they are and like to act superior to all other students and teachers. Most peers think they know more than the teachers and correct them VERY WRONGLY! I can NOT STAND this school and wish i NEVER WENT. I refuse to go back and never want to see anyone there except for my best friend that actually acts normal. My math teacher had to resign just to get away from students who would write cuss words and bad things about her on her white board and even say them to her face. I even cried because i went from White Station to Mt. Prison. One of the best Best BEST schools in Memphis. I went from a straight A student to a B and C student just because they teach us too low of things. ~~NO exaggerations!

I just LOVE parents who blame the school for their kids not doing well. Why don't YOU hold your kids accountable instead of allowing the school to raise your kids.
