Despite what the reviews may say, my four years of being a New Hope parent has been a great experience. Any time I've had issues or concerns with my child's teacher or staff, they have been addressed. As parents, we must take accountability for our child's education and not rely on schools to do that for us. As a single parent I foster a home environment as an extension of what my child is learning at school. I've had a great relationship with all my son's teachers in order for the three of us to have a great school experience.

New hope Christian Academy had change in many ways. The new administration is not a good one. The head of school has ruined alot of aspects about New Hope. He puts on A show but they don't support kids and they don't support parents. There a high turn over of teachers and staff . The environment isn't really a Christian one. Each year there is a large amount of high turn over in all areas of the staff. There are click and the environment is horrible filled with drama.

Spent many years at this school. Started out wonderfully. But since the change in administration, it has changed in a sad way. It used to be a wonderful Christian school with strong academics and loving staff. All of that staff has left. Now it is more like a public charter school. It teaches to the test and its Christian principles are in policy only. I don't recommend it to friends anymore.

Our first 7 years were great. After the last year & 1/2, my children are ready to leave.

The new Administration has continued the hiring of their "friends" in the teaching profession, which is why the past head of school was asked to leave. These new teachers are not qualified to train animals, let alone children. New Hope is a Christ-Centered school, and it appears that these new teachers and the new principal don't even know who Christ is! They are slowly turning this school into a Shelby County school, which is from where all of them came. There are many parents who are stating they will be taking their children out of New Hope. This new administration has forgotten the main reason why the school has a rich history of being successful in the Frayser community. They are not "Christ-Centered", which is now causing the school not to be. God promised to never leave or forsake us, LORD we need you NOW.....

Most of the seasoned staff are wonderful! They love the children and help to build their character and self-esteem.
It is just the new teachers that were brought in over the last year. Their ways are very "worldly", and not at all appropriate for a Christian school. It is now not a surprise that the public school system is so out of control; the teachers are simply large children in adult bodies, that try to "fit in" with the students instead of trying to elevate them. This is how the SCS admin and teachers have infected New Hope.

The character of school is rapidly changing. School does not have as much concern for students.
