I've always felt parents were just as responsible for a child's education as the child and schools. The teachers at this school take great effort to include parents in their kids' educational experience. There are several opportunities to meet with teachers and school administrators and have input on the best path forward for your kids. My son has benefited greatly from being at KIPP. The teachers are fantastic and while they are very busy they always make time to keep parents posted about progress or issues and make me feel included in my child's education.

It was a very upsetting experience. My child did not like it at all and I had trouble sleeping last night, worried what the school system is doing to our children. The principal shows parents absolutely no respect at all. Very pushy.

I completely understand teaching children respect and discipline, but their is a right and wrong way to do that The principal treats kindergartners like they are in the army. Terrible rules for a metro school. Our child WILL NOT go there . A child in kindergarten should not be required to have homework on Saturday and Sunday (5 pages each day).

Teachers are very busy but answer calls when they can.

This school has really helped my Grandson, he is more focused and Grades are good..

KIPP Academy Nashville is a college preparatory charter school, with a challenging curriculum and high student expectations. The teachers and staff are an exceptional team that earnestly does whatever it takes to help children learn and prepare for success to and through college. In addition to academics, the students are encouraged to practice excellence, teamwork, humility, respect, and responsibility. As a parent, I am pleased to know that these principles are not only being taught at home, but are also being reinforced in the school that is empowering my child with knowledge. Her future is bright, and I'm excited about the doors that KIPP Academy Nashville is opening for her educationally, socially, and one day, economically. Thank you KIPP team and family, your hard work is sincerely appreciated.
