I can't say enough good things about this school! Everyone from the principals to the custodians care about student success. The staff is very warm and welcoming. As a parent you can tell that teachers are working hard to see students succeed.

They have a protocol that they follow and they fill the paperwork out as needed. The counselor is monitoring students and have good conversations with them. She also teaches about bullying in her class.

I would give this school the highest ratings. They truly go above and beyond for their students.

Homework is not overloaded on the students. The school has taken a Read20 initiative and the students are given the challenge to read 20 minutes a day. I have enjoyed reading with my children nightly and letting them obtain their goals on a weekly basis.

Teacher at JBES truly care about their students and the progress that they make. My children have grown through academics, but have constantly for safe and loved in their classrooms.

Administration is open and present each time that I am in the building. They are both very welcoming and the students truly know that they care for them. They are easy to talk to and communication is a goal they strive to have with parents.

This is an amazing school. This data is outdated. My children attend there and it is amazing how much they have learned. The school is so welcoming, the staff are always happy to see the students and they seem to have a connection with each kid. It's a small school, with less than 400 kids. The administrators are wonderful. They love the children. They always handle parent concerns in an appropriate way. We are so proud to be a part of the JBES community!

I have had one daughter for through this elementary that was built in 2010 and now I have a fourth grader here. This school is one of the greatest schools around. The staff is hard working and dedicated and they absolutely LOVE children and want to see them succeed. The motto is Journey Beyond Expected Success (JBES) and the community takes great pride in this school. The information on this site is outdated. The school area has been rezoned and there are only around 450 kids in this school and Data Jane Moore is now the Principal. She is AWESOME!! And she has a great staff to back her up. Also there IS a Middle School that is in the High School just up the road. That is a different school under different administration but the two schools work closely together when needed. This school goes above and beyond to accommodate parents and students. They also have a new check in system to protect the children. All visitors wishing to enter the building past the front desk have to enter their drivers license into a scanner for a criminal record check. This school also has a PreK and one of the other Related Art classes that this website does not mention is Computer Lab. JBES has three computer labs and the PTO recently purchased a mobile laptop lab that classrooms can check out. Most classrooms have several ipads also. This school is in a nice rural setting with several playgrounds and an outdoor classroom. The P.E. teacher does lots of great things with the students and has tons of equipment. The Predators recently provided hockey sticks and equipment so the students could learn hockey. There is a large climbing wall and they learn roller skating and many other skills. This school has a full time nurse and a wonderful CDC department. We LOVE this school.

This is a TERRIBLE school. (As with any, there are some good teachers). They are totally content with less than average performance. Half the 4th and 5th graders read at well below grade level. If you express concern for your child the response is always that you should be happy that there are kids that are worse off! Like it is ok my kid can't, because some other kid really can't? They set kids up to grow up expecting that less than average is ok! They should be ashamed.
