This is a horrible school!!! My son does not have an actual science teacher and his class has been self teaching using computer modules. This has made my son hate a subject he loved because he stated that hes not learning anything in the class. I did tacos letter stating that my sons did not have any certification or something to that effect. Which after talking to a retired Bartlett City teacher, she encouraged me to keep him at the school. After learning he doesnt have a teacher that can answer his questions on the subject, I dont think Ill continue to let a school fail my child when it comes to education. A substitute teacher allowed the children to watch an R rated movie that has drugs, alcohol and violence. I dont think is appropriate at school. Which at a school like this, I dont think the type of people they have as staff members and students need anymore negative influence. The staff members are rude to the students and in my opinion high power. One of worst things I have seen was a staff member tell a student that was walking home that she couldnt cross where he was stopping traffic for cars which would be safer, than her walking down the where there is a high traffic entrance and exit in the morning and afternoon and no one there to help her cross the street. She couldnt see around cars the park by the curb to pick up students and cars are speeding and truly not paying attention to the students walking to or from school. They dont care. They even leave students outside by themselves still waiting for their to pull around and get them so they can go home. I witnessed this yesterday afternoon.

If I could give this school a zero I would. This school is.. I dont even know how to describe it, but I do recommend you not sending your child here. There were bomb threats, and student brought guns to school. The teachers dont communicate well. They do do well with disciplining student that bully. They dont do well with student with bad mental health. There more but I dont want to get into it

Do not recommend this school, teachers and staff are very rude, teachers have no remorse for the things they say. School overall may seem perfect on the outside, but on the inside is a totally different atmosphere.

Homework is given often so students can have time to practice.
Posted: November 9, 2018
The teachers are dedicated to making sure that each student is successful. They work hard to teach lessons that meet student needs.
Posted: November 9, 2018
The school has worked the past two years to develop positive character traits in students. We, as parents, need to work on this at home too. The school is only a support in this.
Posted: November 9, 2018
There is a strong special education department and teachers work hard to help students.

Excellent - students can thrive here, as the adults truly care about the kids.

We will see this year. The elementary school wasnt the beat at recognizing and issues went unreported and hidden until the end of the year. So besides not recognizing, in our case they didnt have a chance to be told outright.
Posted: July 31, 2018
Great so far, with a little trepidation for second child entering this year. We have already been working on making it a positive experience and hope it continues when school starts and throughout the year.
Posted: July 31, 2018
They give the student the time in school and at home to
Complete homework assignments and teach them responsibility by not hovering over progress but reminding them of the deadlines approaching.
Posted: July 31, 2018
Some of the teachers are really involved, attentive, supportive and aware of student ability. I believe their should be more support for children who clearly show signs of advanced or gifted course work. We have encountered teachers who did not follow procedure in incidents that could have had detrimental outcomes but they have gotten better over the last two years.

While we have had a positive experience with one child we are waiting to see if our second child will have the same experience. There were issues in the elementary school that will hopefully dissolve but I am aware of the amount of fights that happen during school and on school property. I believe there should be a more effective resolution to this matter. Although I do feel the school takes student safety seriously as far as weapons or banned items.

The extra curricular teachers are amazing. They inspire and guide their students while keeping them enthusiastic about age appropriate interests managing to keep them out of a little less trouble. Keeping them focused on continued education and opportunities available is a 10+.

We will see this year. The elementary school wasnt great with supporting students with learning curves.

Terrible school! Anything goes! No order, bullying, fighting, complete chaos!
Posted: November 28, 2016
Frankly, it isn't worth the one star...
It appears since this is a "new" school that they are still discovering their leadership capacities. (2016-2017 School Year)
Posted: November 28, 2016
There seems to be a lack of administrative experience, leadership guidance and support.

Nope, because I am a witness, my voice could not be heard at the school, so it can be heard on social media. I could not get the help my child needs when i was asking for a 504 plan or an sar meeting, which she had some difficulties, but the school is unorganized
Posted: November 25, 2016
NO LEADERSHIP, NOTHING POSITIVE, NO FIELD TRIPS.
Posted: November 25, 2016
Posted: November 25, 2016
The teachers do not correct if your child has a iep or 504, unless serious illness. ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS THEIR JOBS.
Posted: November 25, 2016
The teachers and guidance counselors are not going by the proper procedures when it comes to their students.

Where should I start???? My son was choked by another student at this school last year and the principal Angela Brown got mad at me for calling the police. She wanted me to keep it on the low or something but anyway to make a long story short, my son was caught horse playing with another little boy that's always poking people in their side with sharp objects!!! At first they said it was just horse play. The next day he came home with a suspension saying he was bullying the little boy! He also said Angela Brown said to him "remember when your moma called the police on that little boy and he didn't even hurt you!" Really??? How low can you get to do a child like that?? Smh! Wow! What kind of role models are they putting over our kids these days... On top of that.... my son needs tutoring and they still haven't got him a tutor. I been asking for one since the beginning of the school year. It's hard out here for a parent and the kids. You want to know something that's crazy??? This not even half the story of what we been through at this school!!!
