Nashville Collegiate Prep (NCP) is a visually stunning school with a modern, brand-new campus and an amazing view. However, looks can be deceiving. While the school may be a decent option for some families, there are significant concerns that parents and prospective employees should be aware of.
NCP follows a tech-led, community model, which can be a distraction-heavy environment for students, especially those with learning disabilities who may require more structured, individualized support. The learning environment may not be suitable for students needing additional accommodations.
This school serves a predominantly Hispanic student population and, because funding is enrollment-based, administrators tend to prioritize that communitys concerns over others. Unfortunately, this has led to disparities in treatmentboth for Black students and Black teachers. African American teachers have been dismissed based on unfounded complaints, seemingly in an effort to appease the dominant community. Additionally, African American students often receive harsher disciplinary actions than their Hispanic peers, and their talents are mainly leveraged for sports rather than academic investment.
Another major issue is the lack of qualified teachers. An alarming 60% of NCPs teachers are either on temporary permits or not certified in their primary subject area, which raises concerns about the quality of education students receive. The teacher turnover rate is extremely high, particularly among African American educators, creating instability in the learning environment. Additionally, pay disparities exist, with most staff being underpaid, except for administrators.
Bottom line: If you're considering enrolling your child or applying for a job at NCP, proceed with caution. While the school looks beautiful on the surface, the internal culture and inequities should not be overlooked.
Would not recommend.

I love this school. I've been at Nashville Prep for over 3 years now and even though it was very challenging, Nashville Prep has prepared me for the future to come. I've met wonderful classmates and teachers who all care for me. The merit demerits sheets are a lil annoying, but they are just showing us dat some things we do are wrong and are teaching us how to act towards a negative response. Sure, some classes are not that engaging to me at some times, but the teachers who teach it will help you to understand what you dont know. And I would not want to be at any other school because I love that school. And now that I've just graduated from Nashville Prep, and I will miss I with all my heart, I've learned a lot there and made many great memories and hope to do so at my new school RHS. I hate this school it is the worst in America don't have any of your children go to this school 7:45-4:30 woahhhh what does that do they only give you seconds to do your work and you don't learn a thing it should be SHUT DOWN FOREVER I never get any sleep and my classes are boring the teachers are mean and rude I don't like this school granna if u see this review it's me and take me out of this school this is some good advice and I'm sure my whole schoolmate would agree I only like gym music and science that's it and the demerit and merit thing is annoying NEVER EVER EVER GO TO THIS SCHOOL EVER IF THIS IS ANY SCHOOL INSPECTION PERSON SHUT THIS SCHOOL DOWNNNNN
