My husband and I have significant concerns about the quality of education and environment at this school. In my experience, the school's focus and support seem to be unevenly distributed, with the dual language program receiving more attention and resources. Meanwhile, traditional classes appear to be overlooked, leading to a lack of investment in the well-being and success of those students. Furthermore, I have consistently observed cleanliness issues throughout the school, which can negatively impact students' health and learning. Unfortunately, I have also experienced unfriendly and dismissive interactions with some teachers, who have expressed negative sentiments about students in a manner that is unprofessional and unacceptable. As a parent, it is disheartening to see my child's educational experience compromised in this way. Therefore, I am actively exploring alternative options for my child's education, where they can receive the support, resources, and positive learning environment they deserve."

We love this school! Our children are enrolled in the Optional Program there and we couldn't be happier. The teachers communicate with parents, the parents are very active in the school, and my children and their friends are really blossoming. I highly recommend this jewel!

My children are in Kindergarten and 2nd grade. There is an emphasis on READING--which I love, can manage, and is much more meaningful than multiple worksheets.

These teachers love their students, are passionate about their content, and work hard!

The adults model these behaviors for the students. They use positive behavior incentives for student behavior and check any bullying immediately.

The school's leaders care about parents. They listen to us and work with us.

The school works with families of Gifted students and provides differentiation as appropriate.

The school takes this seriously and tries to create a culture--both whole school and within each classroom where students feels supported and truly view themselves as a community.

New principal Mr. Carr is doing an excellent job at Treadwell. He is very responsive to parents and teachers and cares about the students. All the teachers I have interacted with are kind and are dedicated to the students and the school. My child's teachers have been incredible! The dual language program is a gem that more parents should consider for their children. Its a unique opportunity to become bilingual and bicultural in elementary school.

I give this school the highest possible rating, because I have a kindergartner whom has blossomed. He is learning a variety of things from spanish, to learning to read, write, and comprehend both languages in the dual language immersion program. He is intrigued by the advancing math, discussing historical events, and he ask tons of questions about social studies. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable and the teacher or director responds quickly when I have a question or concern. This school has brought structure and awareness to my child's heart. I am forever grateful for the environment and its diversity or culture. We enjoy the homework activities and I encourage my child to be involved. We usually complete everything on Monday and spend the rest of the week reading and practicing writing. This system works for us. Love this school and program. Thank you Treadwell teachers and staff for all that you do on a daily basis to teach my child, caring for him, and encouraging him to grow. Scholars are born in this environment.

The teachers really care about their students and find ways to keep helping our children. There is a bilingual optional program too. The optional classes are smaller and have a student-teacher ratio of at least 15:1. I encourage everyone to call to register their children at Treadwell Elementary.

I have two sons in the dual language immersion program. The opportunity to learn subjects in two languages, to become biliterate, and to develop close friendships with students from various backgrounds is exceptional. In fact, there is no place else in Memphis that offers this unique program! The administration, teachers, and staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and current in best practices for teaching. My sons have loved all of their teachers, and are thriving academically. The school also offers a lot of extra curricular activities including garden club, drama club, cheerleading, soccer, reading club, Spanish reading club, art club, and choir. Teachers, administrators, and staff go above and beyond their job responsibilities to create a strong sense of community and pride.

I am a parent of 2 students at Treadwell Elementary. My students are in the dual language program, and I am impressed daily with the teachers that work with my children. They are knowledgeable, caring, respectful, and seem to address issues before they become a problem. The principal, counselor, assistant principal and the dual language coordinator truly show a sincere intrest in the education of all of the children. The dual language program is excellent and I notice growth in both academics and morale.
Parent issues and concerns are addressed directly, and in a timely fashion. I am very pleased with the education my children are recieving in the dual language program at this school.
The school campus could use a lot of improvements both inside and out.
