Townsell offers many great programs and clubs for students such as a running club, chess club, basketball teams, maker club, student council, etc. The teachers and staff members are amazing and really care about their students!

This is a great school because all the teachers and staff work hard to build a positive and welcoming environment for all the kids. Every morning the students, teachers and staff are greeted with "Good Morning" and a welcoming smile!

I've never worked with a more caring and loving group of teachers in my career. There is a diverse student population that brings all races, background and people together for a common goal. I wouldn't want to be working anywhere else for an Elementary!

I absolutely love working at this school and seeing all of the student growth. The students are able to have hands-on experiences, work with technology, and differentiated experiences.

Jackie Mae Townsell is wonderfully ran school! I love the atmosphere of the school. Teachers and administrators are a phenomenal group of individuals. I highly recommend this school to any one moving new to the area.

The teachers in this school are awesome! They care about the students holistically. This school is also very diverse which is good for students because they get a chance to interact with students from different backgrounds and cultures and learn more about each other. I like that they offer extracurricular activities for students such as basketball, broadcasting, Destination Imagination, and choir. I should add that Townsell is a very safe and clean school. The teachers are the best part about Townsell!

My children both have attended Townsell My Oldest from 1st through on to 5th grade and my youngest currently in kinder. I have had my differences with staff and occassionally get on a few teachers about their work ethics with the kids. But what people fail to understand is there are very good teachers in this school such as Redmond in Kinder, Delce who teaches 1st and 2nd grade depending on how she feels that year sometimes even Kinder, Can say to much about the second grade staff cause that teacher left but she was amazing Other good teachers to look forward to are Guimond and Reich for 4th and 5th grade. If as a parent a issue has not been adressed then address it cause I have and all my problems with the school have been fixed when I bring my concerns to the staff.

I wish I could give no stars because that is what this school deserves. This school is a hot mess! As an active parent volunteer, I am not impressed with the office staff, the teachers, the ignorant nurse, and the principles. This is the first year that our children attend this school, and its only getting worse week by week. Everything is unorganized. As a parent I am disgusted. We just moved to the area and this is the school my children are suppose to attend. Counting the days for this school year to end. Please don't take our children here!

My Son has been attending this school K-1st& finally 2nd. I've had Many issues w/this School's Staff from the beginning of the yr 2012-13. First Day of school there was an accident ON their intersection More than Half the Kids Late, Parents &kids had to sit in the Cafeteria for 3hrs, my son was given a new Teacher then sent to a GT class at the end of the day, cause they "Forgot" to Inform me my child scored above average the yr before. Not even 6wks into the school yr he was placed in new class due to High student Ratio. Its bad enough they No Longer Give Homework, but now its ok to take Toys cause the Teacher Doesnt Care &signed papers Stay in his backpack for Mnths I tried reaching out to the teacher Via Email, Letters. I had to call the administrator to finally get feedback. Final straw was my son coming Home Repeating Inappropriate conversations between the kids in class that at age 7, shouldn t even know about!!! When reporting this to the school the Teacher calls my son a Tatty Tale. I m Beyond Upset On How Staff handled this Issue &let this Woman be a Teacher Simply cause they Needed the extra help!

My daughter just finished her kindergarten year. We have both when very pleased with the school. All the teachers are welcoming and go out of their way to create a home like learning environment. I hope the new principal will be able to continue the wonderful legacy of mrs. willett. I love how they have physical education every day. I am looking forward to my daughters future with townsell. Highly recommend this school!

The school is very diverse in it's students population. It is absolutely amazing that the principal and her staff is able to bring about cohesive educational experience and has excellent learning process. It remains to be seen what affect the drastic budget cuts will have on this fine school.

My oldest daughter just finished 5th grade and I can't say enough about the dedication of Mrs Willett the Principal and the teachers. Every morning, Mrs Willett is at the door to welcome the children to school. I know most parents are upset about the "no homework" policy but what is the point in giving homework when most parents were doing the work not the kids. The alternative is giving the kids books to read every evening which the results has been dynanmic in reading and writing skills. I wish more parents will get involved with the school and help put it on the map as one of the best schools in Irving.
