i went to this school as a child and LOVED school but the way they hire teachers that dread the job and are passive aggressive with children is insane. i moved from chicago to texas and got registered for 4-5th grade, had a teacher yank off my accessories that my grandmother would put on me and claw her literal nails in my arm trying to get me to switch desks when it couldve simply been communicated. wish this school would take the hiring process a lot more seriously .

Some teachers don't follow IEP. And constantly bully kids with iep. But I get called a liar because who's going to believe the kid and investigate the real issue. Some teachers have treated my son bad because of the color of his skin.

Students needs are not met such as reading, learning to write and simple discipline/routine. Parents concerns are ignored such as safety, helping with learning disabilities, and genuine politeness. Children cannot read. Coach yells at students even the very young ones without cause. Principal yells at staff in front of others, may be why the coach feels free to yell at students. Teachers are often absent - may be the low morale of the staff. The library is very nice and the library lady is very nice. The cafeteria lady is very nice too.

When children are hurt by other children there are rarely any consequences unless a parent complains to the main district office.

Some are excellent & dedicated: Mrs Lucas, Bryant, Sanchez, Cano, Bayer, Mr D., Mrs Basave, Mr Montoya, etc. Some just don't care.
