Overall, this school sucks. a pregnant girl got jumped and had to go to the hospital people are vaping left and right to the point where the bathrooms are unusable. i don't like to bring up race but as a african-american student i see black students get in trouble for things that students of other races get a pat on the back for. the school gets at least 3 death threats and 1 school shooting threats every 2 months. this isnt a big problem but the school is actually infested with bugs, there was 2 rats in the school one time and the teachers were talking about it like it was a joke. also the teachers and principal dont care about the students to them you are expendable and they only need you to make the hallways look filled up.

OVERALL a horrible school i am so glad that i transferred out every student acts like a fake thug and the police should actually look into this school to close it down

The faculty at Saginaw High School makes it obvious they care about the students' success and provide them the opportunity to do well once they graduate.

Overall I think the school is great. I think parents need to be more involved, I would like to see more discipline, but that’s with any public school.

My daughter was threatened to get shot by a student there. It was a horrible experience trying to keep her safe. The principal, assistant principal and cheerleading coach gossiped about it. They allowed the student that threatened, to graduate. We had no knowledge of this until my daughter saw him on graduation day. She was terrified the entire time especially with him and his friends taunting her. After the ceremony I addressed this with principal Weber. She said she was keeping an eye out the entire time. This just means that she saw my daughters surprise and fear and was enjoying the show. This school is disgusting!!!! They don’t care about safety and probably encourage the violence.

There are fights at least once a week, there's always bugs everywhere, the teachers are insensitive, and the sports teams suck. I don't feel safe at this school half of the time, and the other half I'm just genuinely not enjoying being here.

Our son is just finishing up his freshman year. The education he is receiving at Saginaw High has by far surpassed our expectations. He is an AP student who plans to continue his education in the aeronautical engineering field. He is receiving quality education in his engineering class and all other he is enrolled in. Marching band has also been such a positive activity in his life, meeting wonderful friends who share common goals of achieving excellence and preparation for college and future. We recommend Saginaw High to anyone, our two other children are following suit as PACE and Pre-AP students as well.

I play sports and attend this school and i believe that this school is clean and cares about the students there. The students that attend this school have so much support of their school. You will see a lot of students in one section cheering on their team. I love it there and so does everyone else

The faculty care about the students' success. The principal knows his staff and makes every effort to get to know the students. There are few indications of "cliques" within the student body. There is something for everyone. My son loves it there and he has done far better here than at any other school I've had him in.

The faculty shows enthusiasm toward learning and are very adept at instructing the students. The principal (Dr. Priddy) allows students the freedom to express themselves. It's a great learning environment. Parental involvement seems good but could be better.

The principal (Dr. Priddy) allows the students to express themselves which is refreshing given the strict "stay-in-the-box" philosophy of the administration of Highland Middle School. Students at Saginaw High are expected to conduct themselves more as adults than children and those expectations appear to go a long way toward that goal. Academically, SHS challenges my Honor Society student, but also offers courses more suited for those who plan on a career straight out of highs school and who have no intention of heading off to college. The student body is diverse which allows each student to interact and learn about cultures that differ from his/her own. This is a major reason why I find public schools superior to any private school where student bodies generally share similar traits such as ethnicity and/or income. SHS offers an abundance of extracurricular activities, including a two-time state champion gymnastics program. There is something for everyone so there is no reason for a student to feel excluded from being a part of the school. The staff genuinely care about the students' welfare and academic progress.
