First of all, this school is extremely unsanitary, as of one time, I had seen GUM on the front and under of my chair multiple times in different classes, and had seen a rodent one morning near but it git out before I could say anything.
Second, it feels as if the teachers do not have any respect or accountability for the students, mostly speaking for the higher up staff.
Third, it is almost like the teachers care more about dress code and whether we have some 'attitude' with them rather than actual bullying or anything.
Fourth, the exaggerations no one can even compete with. They get mad for your shorts being even the slightest bit short, they give people 3 days of ISS that deserves about 1 day of lunch detention??
Overall, I would not recommend with what the school contains, is put together, and more pf the higher up teachers from principal to the assistant principal, or any office teachers, and some of the actual teachers.

I love this school. I came here for 6th and 7th grade. There wont be any problems if you hang around the right group of kids and dont talk back to the teachers. I had Mrs. Craft for 7th grade Pre-Ap science and she was wonderful. The teachers answer your questions and make sure you understand all the concepts while making sure that all the other students arent being held back. If you dont raise your hand though, then of course the teacher wont ask you if you understand. I also took GT language and English. It was easy to understand because Mrs. Janssen explained it in a way where teenagers could understand it. Pre-Ap history was a bit bland, and of course, not that interesting. I took all classes Pre-Ap except for math. I would say that its easier to understand if you were doing in-person learning rather than online learning like me. (Thanks COVID) If I HAD to write something negative about this school, it would be how much drama there is and how it may be difficult to stay out of. Other than that, I really love this school and wish I hadnt moved away for 8th grade. Thanks for reading this long review.

I love this school. The teachers here are very helpful. I am currently a student. I am taking all pre ap classes and GT classes. I would highly recommend Mrs. Craft for pre-ap science. She goes above making sure you understand the concepts. It was easy to fit in. There are multiple types of students here... including the not so good ones. I would just ignore those students though. The homework here is great. Its not too much homework but it can be if you fall behind. If there was a problem with this school, it would be students talking too much and the teachers not getting them to be quite. Other than that, I love this school.

My daughter and her friends were being bullied on the bus and were forcefully removed from their seats last Thursday and cussed at saying they are sixth graders and they need to move to the front because they wanted to sit in the back. On Friday they were picking on them again so I went to the bus stop and yelled at one of the kids for bullying and threatened to call the cops and the principal if the bullying continues. I get a call from the principal and I met with Principal Anthe Aganostis who told me next time give them the opportunity. So the principal made all the sixth graders sit in the front and basically made my daughter come home crying. This school promotes bullying. These kids laughed at her because they won. Thank you for nothing. I called the district and am waiting for their call back. I have a lot of friends that teach in the emsisd district and they will all hear about how this principal takes care of bullying.

Best School Ever! The Teachers are very supportive and magnanimous and will do whatever I takes for you to excel in your middle school life. I definitely recommend this school to everyone!

We are very pleased with this school and our 6th grader enjoyed her time here. The teachers and administration are supportive, attentive and communicate on a regular basis. I thoroughly enjoy the daily computer generated grade notifications which helps to keep our child on track. Teachers often make themselves available on a regular basis for any areas of difficulty. We are pleased with the Pre-AP course offerings as well as the athletics, music and arts.
