This year in the middle school, it has been nothing but bullying . No 504 for my son the first two months , then when my son acted out they sent him to Daep , the teachers and coach the on the bus will say ugly things to you , when reported for the offensive behavior of the teacher - I never received a call back . They will punish your child without advocating for him/her and the teachers here will disrespect you.
High school has been great so has woodriver . The middle school is a joke. Favoritism and disrespect is my first experience .

lowkey been with calallen since pre-k. this school is honestly the best, but since im mid popular idk about the other kids. just dont be weird or broke, its the sad truth. just dont be different. the kids at this school are really nice, some are mean. theres lots of drama too so.?

I'm not sure what the other person who wrote a review about bulling is talking about. Unfortunately, she must have just been around the wrong kids because I am new here also. Our experience has been awesome! We came from cyfair school district, which is ranked 1st in Texas and although the level of education seems easier here, the teachers are more willing to help. This is a small school and if you just communicate with staff I know they will help. Overall.. A+

My family and I just relocated here from Central NY state where the schools are stellar and every effort is made to keep bullying out. When considering this move, I decided I wanted to live in the calallen district so that my children could continue to receive a stellar education. I thank my lucky stars now that I am only renting and did not buy a house because I hate this school district. My 6th grader, in the six weeks we have been here has become depressed and withdrawn because the bullying is relentless. She has rumors spread about her, kids will deliberately deface her class work (to the point of having to start over) if she gets up to use the restroom or sharpen her pencil, she has been punched, slapped, tripped and humiliated and the staff doesn't seem to notice or care. I don't know how a child could be expected to learn in that sort of environment. If you have a child that fits in, this may be the school district for you. If your child is a bit more of an odd duck, you may want to think twice before buying a home here.

Honestly this school isn't really a good school must students get treated better than others like some kids get away with certain things and they shouldn't And some get in trouble for this stuff. This school treats the kids that dont have much like they dont belong and the rich or higher class like they are innocent. Like treat them equal at least.
