The school has an amazing staff that goes above and beyond all the time. They are extremely patient with the students and parents when we have questions. The communication has been the best and I appreciate that. We receive constant pictures and videos of the students and their daily activities. The principal has a great personality and is very involved in anything/ everything that is done at the school. I highly recommend this school for young children.

It is a small school community, and I think this is why everyone looks out for one another. Students and staff are great! The partnership with TAMUCC is another plus.

The ECDC is a cutting edge school. Founded in 1996 as "The School of the Future" , the Early Childhood Development Center has achieved National Blue Ribbon High Performing status in the United States of America!! It is a joy and a privilege to be surrounded by a team of highly qualified professionals dedicated to educating our youth. Innovative teaching practices in a dual language learning environment encourages biliteracy and biculturalism within the campus of TAMUCC., a unique partnership between the university and the Corpus Christi Independent School District. The students are not limited to learning through two cultures but are exposed to and embrace multicultural diversity within the school population. I highly recommend this school to parents/guardians of young learners who believe in the education of the complete development of the child: cognitive, affective, social-emotional, and motor.

ECDC is an amazing school with highly qualified teachers that care deeply about the success of the students. Smaller class sizes, and help from various tutors allow for all students to get assistance with their educational and emotional needs throughout the school day.

ECDC has a bilingual program that provides students with strong abilities. The fully certified and trained staff to provide students with all the skills and tools to be successful not only academically but personally. The work environment is warm, there is always the support of the principal, and always keeping in mind that the priority is the growth of the students. It has the facilities and resources necessary to be a school of excellence.

ECDC it is the only school in Corpus Christi with a Dual Language Program, the students at this school are making far more academic progress given. The school this year were awarded with a National Blue Ribbon Award. That means their test scores were high compared to other schools. The school feels like a family everybody is friendly and ready to help you in anything you need.

The ECDC provides an excellent education to elementary students. I think the staff and teachers excel in creating a diverse and engaging environment. The center has successful partnerships with TAMUCC and with community leaders that provide the students with unique experiences, such as String classes, dual language curriculum and low teacher/tutor to student ratio.

Ecdc is such a great school! The students are motivated and challenged to reach their fullest potential academically and socially. The students are able to connect and build relationships with their peers, teachers and staff. Parent involvement is high which also helps to motivate students in the classroom and extra curricular activities.

The Early Childhood Development Center is a school with great range and full support of its community. With students performing at great rates, this school has some of the best learners in the district. All staff members handle all situations promptly and appropriately and strives for success within the community in all aspects.

Poorly.

My experience with the principal and staff was unpleasant. Your childs application must be raffled in order to first qualify for enrollment. After my sons application was pulled he was then asked to be given an assessment to see if he is considered for classroom placement. My child is 3 and diagnosed with ADHD and suspected autism spectrum disorder with severe speech delay. According to congressional legislation thru the U.S Department of Educations office of Special Education & Rehabilitation services directed to States Implementation of IDEA,,, the law that makes available a free appropriate education available for children with disabilities. My son meets all the criteria established by the IDEA and the program still denied him enrollment due to him being unable to communicate properly with his teacher. Isnt that what a teacher is for? To help students willing to learn, learn. I informed the staff and principal of my sons condition and they just apologized and said he was unable to attend the program.

ECDC is a model lab school. The lottery process opens it up to the entire community- not just those affiliated with the University. The program is bilingual and is small with one class per grade. Students get the best of both worlds here!

A fabulous bilingual public lottery school for PreK3-6. Many Texas A&M students from a variety of disciplines participate in teaching the students. The CCISD buses will bring students to and from their closest elementary school. The teachers and support staff are well credentialed. Having the college students is a huge perk. It is a lottery school, so admission into PK3 is tough. After PK3, applications seem to fall out so numbers wise the chances are better, but you have to wait for a student to leave for an opening. As a parent, I've found it difficult to get in and participate with my children's learning in the school. That being said, they do offer times for parent involvement, just not very often. The facility is amazing. The school overlooks the bay and has a state of the art playground. The computer lab is fabulous. The school does not appear to lack funding for any needs. One other downfall is the lack of an after school program. In order to participate in Latchkey, the children take the bus to their home school and are let out unsupervised to find their way to the Latchkey Program. Overall I'd rate the school 9/10.
