I regret bringing my son to Collin. This school, along with the staff and board, is extremely unprofessional. If you want your child to be unmotivated, smoke in the restrooms, or get into fights every day, then send your child to Collins Middle School, where the teachers don't want to be there and show no motivation whatsoever, and are extremely rude to your child. My son was at this school for less than three months, and he had to fight every single day. He showed me multiple videos of kids fighting in the restrooms and smoking. He does not smoke or do drugs; the kids try to force him to by fighting him every single day. Kids also tried to jump him, involving gangs, almost every day he attended this school. We had several issues with the staff, my son, and other kids, and overall, we had a horrible experience. I feel terrible for introducing my son to this school. As a mother, I now realize I made a huge mistake trusting this school with my son for 8 hours. It felt like a death trap. I pulled my son out in the last 21 days of school due to kids wanting to fight him every single day.

Worst school ever, unfortunately I had no choice but to have my child here due to our living and car situation, he was in all advanced classes prior to coming here and grades went downhill here. The teachers do not care at all. They rather prove a point than educate the parents on the apps they utilize. I recommend you take your kid elsewhere.

The school has no compassion for students or a will to teach. They lock kids out of class if the tardy bell rings and they are walking to the door. They constantly changed my daughter’s schedule then put her in advance classes late. The teachers did not take into consideration she joined the class late and failed her instantly. This is by far the worst school I have ever put my daughter in and have since had to pull her out and homeschool her. This school should be closed down.

I absolutely dislike this school. The staff are just there to do a job they don’t care what goes on with the students nor the school itself. They tell you Bullying is a Priority. When In Reality they don’t give two s**** about it. My son was bullied for months and everything they promised didn’t happen. They don’t care about nothing until you force your kids to retaliate then that’s when try to enforce certain rules. From the Principal to the Teachers and even coaches, I don’t know who’s worse.

Effective to the students who care, but for the others, teachers are nothing to them, students always get in trouble with teachers.

It may be all right, but none of these students do their homework, and their grades are bad because of it.

There is not much honesty in this school, some of the students are just flat out disrespectful, cuss out the teacher, and some select students are very nice and keep their grades up, when teachers are not looking the students are horrible, especially when a substitute comes in, a teacher left the room for a second, and all the kids flipped her off, there are somethings that are not fair, like not being able to just Bring your Own Device to class instead of spending 40$ on an iPad issued by the school, but pretty much everything is fair.

This school is a very good school with very good teachers that teach students the information they need to know, but every parent should be concerned of the safety of their child at this school, because unfortunately, even though there is an SRO on campus, there are fights every one to two weeks, which include injuries, today, a fight happened, teachers are fast at separating the fight but there's a crowd cheering them on, which causes more time before teachers can help, students sometimes have to get on top of them and pull them apart, it's usually girl to girl fights at this school, but safe to be notified about these things before you enroll your child in this school.

My son really seems to like this school. His sister will be going here this year. Hope it's as good for her as it was for him.

I think the students and faculty would do better with more sleep. The interest and attention spans would probably improve & less grumpiness if hours were 8-3, or 9-4. That necessary down time for Students brains and body growth developments should be a priority.
