I had my 2 kids in Lorreto since Pre-K let me tell you my kids and I loved this school so much the teachers, the staff, and our priest. This school could almost be the perfect option if we had better Elementary principal Mrs. Lopez is the worse principal ever. My daughter was bullied almost at the beginning of 4th grade by the new girls that came from another school. My child hid it from me due to being scared of being removed from school. My kid was on most of the clubs she loved her school so much she hated missing school when she was sick. I started noticing my kid crying alone, not enjoying her toys anymore because she said I don’t want to be a baby. She stop asking for her favorite meals. Little did I know she was being bullied at school by 3 girls that made fun of her weight, her glasses, her trying to speak Spanish, and her name brand shoes. The girls made sure no girls would play with her if another kid would play with her those 3 girls made sure to take that friend away from her so she be left alone. I was aware of the situation when staff and other parents called me to tell me my kid was not eating she was throwing her food away, she was always alone at recess or she would prefer to help staff clean the cafeteria (which there’s nothing wrong with it but I’m sure a kid rather play outside) my kid would ask for snacks, desserts and would draw cartoons for the bullies!!! She was trying to buy the bullies so they would leave her alone! Once I knew about it I told Mrs. Lopez and she said let me look into it which she never did I kept going and calling because things kept happening and Mrs. Lopez would not answer or call me I had to pop up to get her in the front otherwise nothing. She would tell me I spoke to the girls and nothing is going on and I said since when do bullies or criminals, admit to their crimes?!? Never! My kid or school staff will not lie! Her teacher told me Sophia is throwing her food she’s not eating in front of Mrs. Lopez and yet she did nothing! It was very obvious Mrs. Lopez was protecting the bullies and not my child. I was devastated because the staff was more concern of my child’s situation than the principal. Summer camp happened again but now it got physical one of the bullies kept hitting my kid she was notified and she told staff don’t get involved we don’t know if it’s true or not even though the high schoolers said we saw the bully hit my child but she did nothing. Parents be aware of school and demand answers!

Three of my four children attended Loretto Elementary School. They each received a first rate academic education as well as opportunities to explore the fine arts. With small class sizes, the teachers were able to give personalized attention to each student as needed. The faculty and staff worked together as a team to ensure that each grade level reached its academic benchmarks as well as coordinating between grade levels to ensure students were prepared for the next grade level. Students were also encouraged to participate in Service Projects that reached out to our local community as well as communities worldwide.
When you walk into Loretto Elementary School, you immediately feel like a part of the family. Parents, students, teachers and staff know each other and welcome new students.
My children finished their years at Loretto Elementary School as well rounded students very well prepared for their years in Middle School.
