All I'll say is thank God this school got shut down. Their special education program was so abhorrent and abusive it traumatized my child and others. They allowed a para to bully the students year after year, and they could never retain a teacher for that classroom for longer than a year or two. I can only hope if the staff have moved on to other schools that they're held much more accountable.

Do not recommendÂ….there is constant fighting and an overall chaotic environment. Very disorganized with a toxic culture that only focuses on superficial concerns and appearances (dress code) rather than serious issues (student safety). Administration has poor communication, likely due to a new and unskilled principal.

The school has been exemplary and works hard for our children each and every day. For the parents that complain about their experiences here at Long, their reviews are over 10 plus years old, and it should not apply for today, in 2023. Parents are here for a brief time, then gone. Same for some of the teachers and principals as well. I encourage the parents to get involved in their students life at Long. It makes a difference in their behavior towards admin. and especially towards teachers. Don't blame others when it is your job as parent to make sure that your child succeeds. The school can only be as good as the community that supports it.

I had an issue. One of my friends was bullied an before I did anything I told the teachers, but they didn't do nothing. I left it alone for 2 days I went to the restroom an there she was in the stall with her lunch crying .I said what's wrong she said she still getting bullied, an knew the staff or principles didn't take care of it. So I when up to the gurl who was bullying her an said leave her alone in lunch. The principles came to me an told me crab my lunch an called my parents an said I threatend her. They said they were handling it. I mean this girl did harm to her self she felt like no one was by her side other than me. I got in trouble for helping someone that didn't have faith in herself no more an wanted to leave this world. NO ONE SHOULD FEEL LIKE THIS!!!!!!!! This school is nothing, but terrible to my opinion.
