The teachers don’t teach what is necessary for the students, kids laugh at kids that aren’t similar to them, don’t offer anything, you have to bring your own internet and device to do SCHOOL WORK, the overall environment is horrible, do not recommend at all, and if you’re planning to take advanced courses, they don’t offer them, until senior or junior year.

Incompetent and not fit to be in a classroom guiding children

Playing in a pavement parking lot during recess...how very "artsy" and "advanced"...teachers without a B.A. teaching S.T.E.M.? Not happening here!!! No diversity or individuality allowed.

An inconsistent faculty which is replaced at a whim along with administrators who operate like robots on command from some higher power "Wizard of Oz" type demonic flying-monkey egomaniac.

I would not recommend to anyone to enroll their children here. The turnover ate of teachers and leadership is very very high. You cannot get a call back from the principal or the assistant principal.

To the previous post by a "Parent"

The Superintendent resigned due to lack of resources. She was not given a Cabinet. The Superintendent raised salaries for all teachers in 2016. The Superintendent facilitated all the professional development and kept the schools safe by implementing Core Values training at the beginning of every year. The Superintendent ran all the IT portals and trained the IT staff to take over them. She facilitated all the professional development for the 2017 In-Service in May of 2017. The Superintendent trained and coached new Principals even when they were severely underpaid. The Superintendent tried her best to keep those Principals there. The Superintendent trained a new Special Education Director and a new Bilingual Director. The Superintendent had many parents and teachers that came to her after she left and thanked her for her service. It is very sad that an anonymous disgruntled ex-employee is allowed to make false allegations and claim to be a parent. The parents at all three schools are amazing and so are the students!

My brother Graduated form this School he had attended since 5th grade all through 12. He had great opportunities, he participated in robotics competitions and visited NASA where they won a competition. This is an excellent place for a dedicated student who is serious about learning science and art. This is not a school for everyone, you need discipline , determination and be a self starter.

I have both of my kids here, for 4 years now, my oldest son is about to graduate from 8th grade. I've been reading the bad reviews about this school and I can only feel as my duty to let other parents and community members know about our experience with DaVinci school. While it is true that this school is very strict, I totally agree with it. If you call being strict having a dress code, no bullying, and basic rules of respectful behavior, than you bet I agree. I do encourage this "strict" behavior with my kids. I also like this school because in the 4 years my kids have been here, I've known all the teachers and, while some of the ones that have left the schools were good teachers, who, like anyone else, have found better opportunities, some of them have also been very bad teachers and I support the school in having them leave, as well as some of the principals. All of the teachers and staff know me by name, they know my kids, they know their friends, and they know their needs, as well as I do... this is what I like the most of this school, your child won't get lost in the multitude and will have a personalized experience here. And English a 100%! Spanish too, only if you need it.

15 teachers have been fired this semester!!! What an outrage!!! The staff and teachers are ok the administration and all their ridiculous rules. Their hypocrites they take away un healthy food but yet carry bags of McDonald's for lunch everyday! And take away the little play time they have after lunch I would never send my child here

We transferred our son there thinking it was a good school but we are pulling him out! He comes home with absolutely no homework and this school for The Arts and Sciences has no permanent science teacher?!? My son, who struggled to be a B-C student, transferred from a tough private school and is a straight A student here. We are going back because of this and some of the other negative points on the other reviews are true. Food is terrible there too because the "chef" they had left the last school year my son was told.

My son is studying his 2nd consecutive year at Davinci. Now in 7th grade he likes the school the teachers and his friends. He has A grades.

This is the best absolute best school for gifted children. The teachers are wonderful and will stay afterschool till 6 pm to help there students. Mrs. Burnham is the nicest women you'll ever meet, and the students I cant even explain how wonderful they are! Respect, responcibility, and trustworthy is the best way to explain them. The coaches especially one specific coach will make you her friend and take care of every student she needs to. If I could do my life over again I would be here to the end.

Save your time and money this is the worst "charter " school I have ever seen. Too many faults to list in one forum, just save time and enroll some where else especially military!

Posted: September 26, 2012

Save your time and sanity find a better school, Not diverse at all, incompetent staff at almost every level!

Posted: May 23, 2012

This school is hereby the worst school ever, it is very strict, you get in trouble for doing things on accident or you get suspended if you get one thing wrong:/ I am serious parents dont like it because everything is chaging and they try to pull it off by calling it (re-constructing) it profits and it is a non profit charter school, you barely learn anything, and also there is no bus, walking home is out of the question, and if you go off campus after school they can chase after you 500 yards away from school grounds. Trust me, it is torturous for everyone.

This school is crazy!!! PEOPLE GET FIRED LIKE THIS AND THAT THERE HAS BEEN AT LEAST 3 PRINCIPLES IN THIS YEAR THEY CANNOT GET THERE STUFF STRAIGHT SO IT IS A HASSLE FOR ALL STUDENTS PLEASE LET ME OUT OF HERE!!!!

Alright, look. I'm a 7th grader at this school and I'm going to speak the truth here. A lot of these reviews are bad but their mostly from the students. Sure the school is strict, but that just means it has good discipline. If your reading this wondering if you should put your child in this school or not, I say you should. This school has been doing very well for the three years I've been here so far. A lot of kids say this school sucks, but they have no clue what their talking about because they've been here their whole life. There are absolutely NO bullies in my grade, or at least no one bothers me. I never feel alone either. Everyone is really nice and there's always somewhere to fit in. Actually, you won't even need to fit in. As for the teachers, they are really nice too. I noticed a lot of people said they only speak Spanish. This is wrong. I myself also only speak English, but mostly everyone who knows Spanish knows English also. Everyone has an English class, and in the 8th grade a Spanish class is added. Trust me, they WILL be learning. I finished my Pre-Algebra AP class in 7th grade. Anyways, this is a GREAT school. Students, staff, everything is good.

it is the worst school in the history of schools .the students are horrible! the teachers dont teach everyone speaks nothing but spanish the school has no foundation and i cant wait for them to shut it down. dont fall into the lies of the administration and staff save your student!!
