From the beginning of the school year through the second week of school, our experience was extremely disappointing. It became apparent that the school was not adequately staffed or properly trained to support children with special needs. During the evaluation process, while my child was being assessed for potential special education services, her difficulties with understanding instructions seemed to be viewed as behavioral problems rather than signs that she needed additional support.
By only the second week of school, my child was suspended despite actively being evaluated for learning and developmental needs. One particularly upsetting incident involved three adults escorting my first grader to the office in a manner that felt unnecessarily excessive and distressing for such a young child. It was heartbreaking to watch my child, who previously loved school, become fearful and cry about returning.
Ultimately, I made the decision to withdraw my child and enroll her in another school where the staff demonstrated the knowledge, training, and compassion necessary to properly support her educational needs.

The reason I rated low on emotional support is because this student has been harassed all school year by some girls in her class. One in particular. This manipulative girl even gets a few of the other girls in the class to cause trouble for her. Please, if you will put them in separate classes next year it might help. Also because this student has dyslexia and reads slow some of the other kids make fun of her when she reads out loud. I think that needs to stop too. Making fun of students with disabilities is cruel and that is not emphasized enough. Everything else is A+.

I can't say enough about this school. The admin team is top-notch, they care about the students, and it shows. My boy has thrived in this school not only educationally but emotionally also. He gets excited whenever Mr. Sisk. the campus principal, gets him out of the car.

My child attended this school for several years. What I'd like to say is that during those years I didn't notice how depressed my child was. As a mom I wish I would've seen it sooner. An assistant director called me and called my child out for pants being too tight. I am a public school teacher and very big on wearing appropriate clothes to school. Turns out they were not inappropriate, but that my child has great genes and they had an issue with that. Ironically the woman who made this call was very large and her pants were very tight. That was just one of many signs I needed to get my child out of that school. I pulled my child out within the first few months of school and put my child in the middle school down the street from where we live. It's an LISD school. My child had some catching up to do! But they did it! The curriculum at CCA was not as rigorous as this new school. My child was finally able to breathe!!! I have several instances that should have made me pull my child sooner, but I didn't and I have to live with that. Luckily I have a resilient kid, thriving and happy! I can only imagine what was said to them while I wasn't there.

My children have been attending this school since 2015. The staff are quick to address any questions or concerns. All 3 of my children continue to test above their grade level and thrive socially. It is a diverse student body and the leadership is second to none.

Im so glad we found this School, staff are so caring, lovely , the education is awesome, they have really good teachers. I wish this building had middle and high school . This would be great, bullying dont exist in this school, they encourage the kids to be compassionate, kind, its awesome !

I love this school! Im so glad my kids had the opportunity to grow surrounded by all the love teachers give them. Well be transferring to a classical middle school because we love the curriculum and that theres half students in the class rooms than public schools.
During the last year Ive noticed that many teachers are quitting and less experienced teachers / assistants or even moms are occupying the empty positions. Im not very happy with that but thankfully the teachers we got to learn from were excellent.
Definitely a great school to take your kids. They not only teach academic things but also values (respect, self control, honor, compassion, loyalty, obedience).
Mr. Sisk, Mrs. Howell, and all the staff rock! They DO care about every kid no matter their race.

We have had an amazing experience at Coppell Classical Academy with both of my children. They have gone above and beyond to see that my children succeed. I can't imagine my kiddos going anywhere else.

This is a pretty great school. We are going to the public school next year because we are now in Coppell ISD, and it is better. I loved both of his teachers the two years we have gone here. They were kind and effective teachers. We love that there is minimal homework, due once a week, the diversity of students, and 2 recceses. The PTO is not as communicative as I would have liked. I would have gone to the meetings and helped out more if I knew when there was need. I think this is a good school for a kid that needs a smaller school environment, or a better opportunity than the local public school might offer.

Overall I was not impressed and have opted for public school. I regretted taking them out of the Harmony school system. My son was ahead when we entered the school. He has not learned anything over the course of this year. they do not have a cafeteria, there are no programs such as gifted and talented. Most of his friends had transferred out by spring. They also do not offer any extra curricular activities unless it is paid for. I had a rocky relationship with the administration from the 1st day of school. I agree with favoritism shown toward giving patrons. I am happy we will not be there next year

I am a parent of 2 kids attending this school. Overall I have had a good impression with the curriculum, homework, staff qualifications and experience, discipline, curriculum nights, staff is approachable and responsive, they have field trips the kids really look forward to, picture days, movie nights with parents etc. There is an indoor court for P.E.

They need to have work done on the building, parking and playground and perhaps arrange funds for this because it is beginning to look shabby. How do they retain their staff longer or interest more qualified and experienced staff?

My daughter enjoyed her first year at Vista and we were pleased with the curriculum, but the school lacks diversity. Majority of the students are Indian and they are shown favortism, because of the donations the school receives from their parents. Majority of the teachers are white and a complaint has been sent to the Texas Education Agency regarding this matter. My daughter came home and I asked her about Cinco de Mayo, and she stated that they did not celebrate that in school. I was appauled because and Indian holiday was celebrated last year. This is not fair to the Hispanic sudents. We will not bring our daughter back to this school. If you want to attend a diverse school, then this is not the school for you.

Ms. Gillis is undoubtedly the best teacher by far for 2nd grade teaching the kids to enjoy learning, be civil and also sensitive. This is a school that only care for the kids, if you are looking for a fancy place find it down the block but not us, however they are all into your kids and keeping it real.

Glad we found this school, just when my son was not being challenged enough. He was promoted to the next grade (3rd to 4th) which was perhaps the right level for the October born who just missed the grade by a month in the public school. Hand written home work, and personalized teaching the old way are the hallmarks of the school where everyone takes genuine interest in the children - I don't personally think, with all the screen time that the kids do at home these days anyway, that it is a good idea also to give them iPads at school full time for all homework.

We have been here since last year, last year was a bit of adjustment however we have really seen great results , we love the small class and teacher interaction. Teachers really are so dedicated, in KG and 1st grade focus is on social and disciplinary skills. Reading and writing are key here, homework is a page a day in these grades, all 3 KG teachers are great. 1st grade has Mrs Z, superteacher and we are so HAPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPyyy. Small school feel everyone knows everyone. PTO has done an excellent job this year.

I am very pleased with this school. I love the teacher/student relationship. The teachers seem to want to know each students name, and my children know all of the teachers names. I love the small classes. This is their first year here, and they are doing so well. Last year when my oldest was in public schools, I complained about the school not giving any homework to the kids. The teacher said that they do so much in school that they don't want to overwhelm them with homework. Well, the grades suffered because of this. I was not able to reinforce what was being taught in school, and my child was not able to remember everything that was taught. At Vista, they are given a ton of homework. At first I was concerned that the homework was too much, and not for the kids, but for the adults. It was so much, and I wasn't sure if the assignments would be understood by my child. Also, I am taking classes too, getting tons of homework, so it was quite an adjustment. However, my child is doing phenomenal, and has a better understanding of what is taught in class, because it is reinforced at home! Love it!

This was the first year for my boys...6th & 7th graders. In all honesty, my 7th grader...sending him to Quest Coppell was the BEST decision I ever made. This was the first year of school that my son actually had passing grades and in those grades were both Bs & Cs and not failing like in the 40s & 50s like when he went to public school in Carrollton. As for my 6th grader, Quest helped him excell further beyond his known ability...he's in honors and is my honor student. I am very pleased with the Staff...the teachers are incredible and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Quest to all students especially to those parents who have "challenged" kids and want to keep them on the straight & narrow....this is the turn around for you and your peace of mind. You will NEVER REGRET SENDING YOUR CHILD TO A QUEST charter school. You'll only wish you'd done it sooner. :D

Vista Academy of Coppell is amazing. I love them, they have been so good to my son and patient in teaching him. Mr. Sisk and Mrs. Hammock are amazing people and teachers. I would and DO recommend this school to anybody and I I reccomend them personally to all of my residents and friends. The student teacher ratio is so great and the kids get so much one on one attention! I will miss them as my son enters into Quest Middle School next year!!! They make Universal Academy of Coppell pale in comparrison!

After trying 2 others school, one Charter & one regular public school in the Lewisville District, we found Vista! The principal is very professional and he 100% supports the teachers and staff. The teachers my daughter has had are great! We have not experienced all the teachers yet, but the ones we've come across are awesome! The school itself is smaller and older than most public schools but the teachers and their criteria make up for it. What she is learning on her homework is something I would normaly find in a Montessori type setting where the challenges are raised again and again and yet the children seem to respond. The music and Arts director is the best! The teachers go above and beyond for my daughter and know what she needs to stay challenged. My son will be attending in 2 years!

Excellent Campus in Edinburg! I debated for 6 months when I heard Vista was coming to Edinburg.. and I made the final decision to place my child there and it was the absolute BEST choice I have ever made. Smaller class sizes, down to earth students and teacher. My little girl has NEVER been happier! Thank you teachers, administration and staff at Vista of Edinburg!

I have 2 children that were coming out of Private Christian School. I tried public school in Coppell and made it exactly 7 weeks. We were miserable there and they do not give letter grades. I began looking and found Vista. My son not only fit right in but comes home happy every single day. He does not mind the homework and has made great friends. I just moved my Daughter there after seeing how wonderful the school really is...I really never thought we could all be so happy!!!
