My child was bullied so severely in the short 3 months he has been at this school that he has panic attacks and nightmares.
We found bruises from where the bully would punch him, open skin from where the bully would pinch him.
We informed the school when we first became aware weeks earlier when he was pushed and hit his head on the bleachers. They did nothing. The counselor and vice principal were made aware of physical assault and did nothing.

I myself have witnessed a teacher SCREAM at the students and call them names at school pick up.

The gym teacher denied my kids water. Both kids in different grades would come home complaining of exhaustion and being so thirsty because even though I'd send them to school with large water bottles, they weren't allowed to drink from them during gym. I asked the teacher and he said they were only allowed to have water at specific times during his class, but he has the gym teacher can not legally deny children water nor use water as a reward in class.

I wouldn't trust the staff at this school anymore than I would trust wild mountain lion.

I have had nothing but great experiences at this school. My son is in his 5th year here and even when dealing with conflict, it has always been handled well.

My special needs son was treated terrible. They didn't know what to do with him. They called CPS on us multiple times for his mental health problems, despite having all the paperwork regarding his conditions and gave us multiple "mental health emergency" papers. This schools is a joke. We were moved to Elkins afterward and my son has done FANTASTIC since being there!!

Terrible experience. I'm so grateful that we no longer have to deal with them.

I DIDN'T LIKE HOW THEY MANAGED ADMINISTRATION!!

Posted: July 14, 2018

IF YOU CAN'T TEACH THEM TO HONOR THEIR PARENTS YOU FOSTER NOTHING!!

Posted: July 14, 2018

I didn't like administration!!! I wouldn't have children with Military Commander Doctor Russel Linderman or Military Commander Doctor Eric Schultz to be treated that way!

I didn't have a problem with HOME WORK!! Elizabeth Johnson took her ACT WITH WRITING and earned a 17 and 20 in READING!! Her Verbal IQ is 97%!

I thought THE TEACHERS DID A GREAT JOB AFTER I "WORKED" HARD HOMESCHOOLING MY DAUGHTER!! My 5th grader Elizabeth Johnson took her ACT with WRITING --17 and 20 in READING!! Her Verbal IQ is 97% she was accepted in DUKE and NUMATS Gifted and Talented Program!! I didn't like the administration low verbal IQ!! I thought the TEACHERS COULD HAVE SHUT THEM UP BETTER IF I WAS A CALIFORNIA TEACHER WHO HAD TO LISTEN TO EVERYONE'S VERBAL ABILITIES!!

Lake Pointe is a great school! The teachers, secretaries, and principles are all amazing. My son is a 5th grader with special needs and I could not be more pleased with the help and encouragement we get from the teachers and administrators. We have been at this school since Kindergarten and have had nothing but exceptional teachers.

K-2nd grade has an average of 20+ kids per class with one teacher. 4th-5th has 26+ kids per class. Math curriculum they us is Pearson Investigations which is a Common Core curriculum. Be aware of what they are teaching your children and research everything.

We moved into EMSISD because we heard of the great schools. I really wanted my son to go to Bryson. We were denied a in district transfer and where sent to LPE. From the 1st time we walked in the door they have been nothing short of AMAZING. They have walked me through every step of the way including getting my child in special education. The principal has been by my side and helped us through every step. She is always there to talk and is truly there for the students. I trust her with my kid 100%. The special education teacher is also fabulous. She will call me at night to discuss what ideas she has to better improve my son's education and vise versa. She loves my kid like he was her own. I would recommend Lake Pointe to anybody.

I am extremely disappointed in this school. We moved here last year and my daughter is in Kindergarten. She has been bullied and picked on from Day 1. I have contacted administration about it and nothing has been done. Kindergarten is supposed to be fun! My poor child has nightmares and is very unhappy. She came home with a red eye; told me she was punched by a boy and she reported it. Again, administration did nothing. They are very strict on tardiness and absentees; if the child is 1 minute late, they are tardy and threatened with court punishment (for me). Mention the word "bullying" and their heads spin like the Exorcist but when it happens, they do nothing about it. I asked the counselor to sit with her and try to talk through her issues; I got a "She won't talk to me, so I can't help her" REALLY??!!! I CANNOT WAIT FOR MY DAUGHTER TO BE DONE WITH SCHOOL! She will not return to Lake Pointe.
