My son had an incident that needed to be addressed last year. The office never set a parent teacher conference.
The incident was very serious and CPS should have been called on the other students household.. However my son and his classmate's safety were ignored

I wouldn't teach anywhere else! I'm so glad I found this school. I have taught in larger districts, both in charter and public. The support I receive here is what makes me stay. The administration works with the teachers to make sure they get all the support and resources they need to be the most effective with the students. The parents are encouraged to get involved with their child's learning and many do. It is a team effort. A collaboration with all involved. The smaller class sizes give me the opportunity to work closely with the students to focus on their unique learning styles and needs. The teachers work closely to ensure student growth as they progress through the grades. The family-style environment makes coming here each day something to look forward to. I learn from the people I work with as well as from the students I teach. Like I said earlier, I wouldn't want to teach anywhere else!

The class sizes are smaller than in other public schools, which makes for better individualized attention in all grade levels. The communication between teacher, school and parent is great. The teachers work hard to teach academics, but they also work side by side with the parents in helping them shape their children's character and training them to be strong leaders in their generation.

My child was in a GISD school that in the first two weeks sent a note home predicting she was going to fail 1st grade. Thank goodness we found this Charter School within GISD. Our child was previously in a STEM school for Pre-K and Kinder. and their epectations and teaching was superb. At the end of her Kindergarten year she tested one to two grades above her year. Now at ECIA Rowlett, she is once again doing well. The class sizes are smaller than in other public schools, which makes for better individualized attention. The communication between teacher, school and parent is great. This school was previously a private school, and perhaps because of funding they were not able to thrive as they are now. I would choose this school over most any other GISD school.
