My child has entered 7th grade, so this is going into our 2nd year with CMS. I feel like my child had some awesome teachers last year. The teachers seemed to have more engagement with the students, especially in the Pre AP classes. The band directors, Mrs. Davis and Mr. Thao, were great! My child learned so much during the school year, and mastered the STAAR test. I'm looking forward to seeing what new experiences this school year will bring. Educating our children is really a community effort. I feel like Crowley ISD administrators do their best to bring together the district and community . The classroom is only as good as our community resources. On another note, I am currently disappointed that we lost one of our teachers to a serious incident that occurred within the school. I'm hoping that teacher will be replaced soon, because that Math class currently has a substitute.

My child has special needs but is functional. Elementary school was awesome and there was a lot of hands on help and my child was always happy and ready for school..until middle school. I get it everyone is tired from pandemic but whatever is happening in class has changed my childs behavior for the worse. There are too many kids in class and a big lack of motivation. I talk with the teachers and come up with ideas, but I shouldnt have to do that. The teachers get staff plan days ( more than I have ever heard of) and nothing is actually planned. At this point Im grateful for the teachers at least being there as I know many have and will continue to leave and pursue other things. Most of the kids, not just special needs are failing since pandemic and they never bounced back. I even caught a teacher yelling at students called the school and was told someone would call back. I never received a call back. I was also told my daughter didnt want to do class work and asked for all the resources that could help her during her annual meeting and was told no and that they were short staffed. How can the school motivate the kids to enjoy coming to school?

Very good school. Kids have learned a lot. Schools have a very good system of motivation, support community. School focus on academics, behaviors. The staffs are very friendly. Schools need more funding, parents support, volunteers also which si understandble.
