Child started new school year and upon visiting the campus, found the teachers and administration to be very engaging. Upon first few days of school, my child commented on how nice and friendly the staff and students were. Favorite thing is tutorials which is new to them and very helpful. We are very supportive of enforcing dress code.

As a parent of 3 kids who attended Stafford middle school, I would not say this is a great school. My kids did not enjoy this school as much as I had hoped. Coming from a family of educators school is significant for us. However, my kids did not feel understood in this environment. My youngest child recently graduated from school and did not feel respected by their peers because they are neurodivergent and weren't well understood. Because of this they were bullied and called not appropriate words. However, my kids did enjoy the fine arts department and took comfort in band, orchestra, choir, and theater. My kids also expressed that some of the admin and administrators were not as kind-hearted as you would hope for in a principal. The school outside-of-school hours activities were well organized so I will give props to that. Despite all that, there were some good teachers, and students there for my kids, and I'm glad they at least got an education.

I was wondering how the reviews were so positive and then I realized that they were mostly outdated.
I was a student at Stafford a few years ago, and the experience there was very mixed. I will say that I've had some of the best teachers I've ever met at that school, and the curriculum itself is not too over nor underwhelming for most students. However, the rating really goes down when it comes to staff and administration.
Friends and I alike have had teachers that were outright unprofessional, rude, and unhelpful. It baffles me how some of these people work in a school when they seem to despise of children so much. Some of these teachers fail children on purpose, there is a lot of favoritism involved in the fine arts and sports programs, and the counselors are selective in who they help. I have friends who have been successfully helped by counselors, but when my parents reached out to get me into counseling to help with personal problems, they never followed up with even an appointment or meeting.
The administration staff is also very rude, more specifically towards students whenever they work with them such as during lunch or in the hallways. Despite this, the front office staff is very nice, though I'm not sure the same people are still there from when I attended.
Bullying was also a problem that many friends and acquaintances experienced but it was minimally dealt with. Again, favoritism plays a huge part in who the staff cares about and involved themselves with.
By the way, my eighth grade year we had three shooting threats in the course of maybe two months. On those days, people were crying, having anxiety attacks, and rushing home in fear. Not ideal.
In all, I wish I went to a different middle school and I pity my youngest sibling who currently attends Stafford.

Stafford is a wonderful school that has the most caring staff. We were lucky to move to where Stafford was being zoned and have been able to have both of our boys attend.

I believe the school tries to do what is best for each student and does not tolerate bad behavior.

Stafford is over crowded and the leadership team is not up to the task. They have little control over the school and the learning conditions are not up to par with other schools in Frisco. Bullying is pervasive and the scool officials including the resource officer are in denial. The hope is when the school gets enrollment relief in 2015 conditions will improve.

My child will be in the 8th grade this year and absolutely loves Stafford. I'll admit it was difficult getting her adjusted in the 6th grade, but she has come t oknow and love the principal, teachers, and students in the school. Drama, band, and sports are a big part of the middle school life, and any parent starting at Stafford should find a way to plug their child into these activities. Teachers and administrators respond immediately to parent concerns. Lots of after school activities are available. Most of the kids and parents seem genuinely nice and friendly. My child is already eager for summer vacation to end.

We are extremely pleased with the teachers and staff here at Stafford. Our child is having an exceptional middle school experience, and we could not ask for any better. Teacher/staff involvement are great!!! Always remember, you get out of a school what you put into it. We are quite involved in every aspect, whether it be during or after school. As far as education, the proof is in the test scores. I was amazed with how many students were invited into NJHS this year alone. Just Fabulous!!! Unfortunately, my only wish is for more parent involvement. Disciplinary problems with other students have been dealt with by the councelors immediately following a complaint in our situation. Fortunately, they were not major, and the problem was resolved with no return :) We feel very lucky to be a part of an exemplary school and cannot wait for our other children to have the same experience as their sibling did. Thank You, Stafford Middle School!!!

A single reflexion: If you have the highest rating of schools in Frisco, because daily bullying is hitting their good students and still have no answers to parents, they expect to a new case as in the past?
