My son attended the Pre-K program here, and unfortunately our experience was very disappointing.
We felt the school had very little patience or tolerance for young children who need extra emotional or behavioral support. Instead of working with us to understand why my son was struggling, we mostly received calls focused on complaints.
There were also situations where my son was hit or bullied by other children, but when he reacted or defended himself, the focus seemed to be placed mainly on him rather than the full situation.
Over time, my son became unhappy, frustrated, and unwilling to go to school. As an Asian family, we also questioned whether he was being treated fairly and whether our concerns were truly heard.
Ultimately, we felt we had no choice but to withdraw him. Early childhood education should be based on patience, kindness, and understanding, but that was not our experience.

Not enough seating in the lobby, they have space in reception with chairs, but they would rather it collect dust! Not optimal use of our tax dollars from what I see so far

I had very bad experiences with teachers while dropping off kids. No excuses for late about 10 SECONDS, while 3 teachers were just pulling off kids from other cars and walking toward to the entrance. About 6 steps away from us. They pretended not seeing or hearing from me when we called and walked behind them. When I grabbed the closing door, the last teacher suddenly saw us and said, You have to go to the office. I held on the door and tried to talk to her more,( guess I shouldnt) then she pushed me! Very ridiculous, rude and unrespectful. Of course she didnt dare to tell her name when I asked. Another teacher came to close the door without asking more details and let her rushed into the door. I understand there are rules, but these teachers were strict with rules with the wrong ways and wrong attitudes. Very disappointed and cant help to question the qualities of teachers in this school.

While there are a couple excellent teachers at this school, many of the teachers we had here seemed overwhelmed by the number of kids in their class and the variety of needs they needed to account for (especially in PPCD). The carpool system is completely inappropriate for kids this young and creates an environment where the teacher seems absent. Especially for children who have communication challenges, it is so important to be able to interact with the teacher every day, even briefly. Administration is unsupportive of families and makes no effort to get to know individual students. Little consideration is made for individual needs when class sizes get too large and kids get shuffled into other classroom (with no choice given to families in this matter). If you have a special needs child and are considering this school, I strongly encourage you to look elsewhere or invest in a specialized private school. Chances are, your child's needs will not be met at ECS.

We relocated from Europe (US citizens) and our little girl did not speak English. We thought to help her get a head start to kindergarten so we enrolled her to this school. She was placed in a wonderful class. Within a month she was speaking the basics and understanding all of the directions given by her teacher. By the end of the year she was almost fluent! There are events all throughout the school year that you can attend and observe your child in the classroom environment. Information about helping at the school is also readily available for parents that are interested. I believe the staff wonderful. They really love very young children and treat them respectfully. Our little girl still talks about her wonderful learning experiences at the school and she misses her teacher greatly. They have a special bond after all she is the teacher who taught her English! Wonderful work.

my elder one attended this school when ECS started in 2009. She was telling us not admit our younger as she faced some bad experiences at school. She told us after 4 years. We were surprised about this. We checked the school to admit our younger one and we are not happy with the staff or communication to parents. When we asked about an issue, Assistant principal told us to report on ECS website recklessly. We are not happy. We want to share this to help others.

Frisco residents are fortunate to have such a great public resource for preschool children who need early childhood education to do well in kindergarten. ECS is wonderful!

My son was diagnosed with speech problems around the age of 2 and went through speech therapy with LaunchAbility. We went thorugh the ARD process for Frisco ISD and it was great! They fit us in very quickly so we could have the determination before my son turned 3 and within 2 weeks of starting, his vocabulary had grown exponentially! His teacher was a huge help with potty training {that we had had no luck with} and the class sizes are very small. We live quite a bit aways from the school and my son rides the bus which has also been a great experience.

Our son has attended the Early Childhood School in Frisco for 2 yrs now. We have nothing but amazing things to say about them. My son was diagnosed with expressive-receptive language disorder and has received speech help (to the point that he's now on target) and his teacher further had him assessed for fine motor issues so he could get OT help as well. The teachers and staff are very qualified, helpful and truly care about your child AND family. My husband - who was very upset about him needing help initially - even left the introductory mtg saying, "If I got a promotion for work I'd turn it down b/c this place is SO INCREDIBLE!". That's saying alot, folks! :o)
