Marsh has become a school filled with joy. Admin has placed a strong emphasis on the student experience throughout the school empowering the teachers to have fun during instruction that creates better relationships with students.
Students have so many opportunities for growth. From athletics to academics, they can choose their own path, knowing they will have the support they need.

Marsh is a great school that holds kids to high expectations while still implementing joy and connection. Students have the opportunity to take multiple high school level courses, and there are a wide variety of clubs and after school activities to get involved in. The teachers and administration team care deeply about kids and their goals.

The experience at this school is amazing. It is easy to connect with parents as well as with colleagues. The community comes out and support the students: the school also partners with North Texas Food Bank giving to those in need.

I am the school librarian at Marsh, and I have never loved a job as much as I love working here! The kids are amazing, the leadership is next-level and the school is a place that manages to blend joy with high expectations. Kids are given trust and encouragement, and when they need a little extra attention, either academically or emotionally, they've got it. I am about to begin my 23rd year working in Dallas ISD, and I can say without reservation that this is the best school, the best staff and the very best bunch of students I have known in all of those years.

I have been working at Marsh for four, going on five years. In my time, I have seen incredible improvement from administration, student learning outcomes, student and family buy-in, and extracurricular involvement. I return year after year because I know I will be trusted to provide the best educational experience for my students at Marsh. ItÂ’s a place that values the students as individuals first before anything else. The holistic approach coupled with a focus on rigor literacy has shown us academic growth in reading over the last few years. I personally have watched my former students go on to Yvonne A. Ewell Townview Center in the TAG, Law, and Business magnets, as well as the theater program at Booker T. Washington. Our school offers a slew of high school credit courses such as Spanish I & II, Algebra I, Physics, Business, Health, and Programming. Our library was recently remodeled, and our librarian is one of the most knowledgeable, passionate educators I have ever met; she has worked in the WT White feeder pattern in Dallas for upwards of 20 years and plans on staying and retiring from Marsh when that time comes. As far as extracurriculars go, we have award-winning band, choir, and soccer and volleyball teams, as well as several academic options such as UIL, Robotics, TMSCA, Debate, and Orchestra. The bottom line: Marsh offers students with many options to pursue their interests, and teachers at Marsh really care about your childÂ’s education.

We love our neighborhood school Marsh Middle! The principal is great, has an awesome leadership team and they offer lots of extracurricular activities.

My daughter attended another DISD school the previous year. I was constantly worried for her because there was no parent student interaction. At Marsh they have an amazing principal that makes it a family friendly environment with plenty of activities and also includes the community.

Marsh Prep is a place where the staff and administration believe all students can succeed at the highest level. Contrary to what the outdated statistics state on this page, Marsh offers advanced courses in all subjects to all students enrolled. Marsh has led the way in advocating for student equity by increasing access to Algebra over the past several years. Marsh 8th grade is now at 100% enrollment for Algebra 1. In most recent state data, Marsh led all middle schools in DISD in Math growth.
All middle schools in the Northwest network have since followed their lead by increasing access to Algebra 1. If you value high quality instruction and a strong school culture then Marsh is a place for you and your family.

This by far was the best middle school environment that I have seen. The staff was very welcoming, and from the initial meeting I could tell that they have put a lot of focus into the campus' culture. My 8th grade looked forward to going to school daily. Teachers at Marsh set the bar high for all students.

Last year was my first year at Marsh and I thoroughly enjoyed it. As the 8th grade administrator, I spent the year focused on student experience and creating a safe and fun learning environment for students and staff.

Marsh has truly evolved over the years. The academics, extracurriculars, and school climate have greatly improved with committed teachers, alumni, and leadership. Students take all Honors classes, including Algebra, in 8th Grade. Common spaces like the lunchroom and hallways are safe, and there are many school celebrations, events, and a short recess for students every day. There have been physical improvements, including the blacktop, library, and 3rd Floor. The athletics program is also strong, and many electives are offered, including Programming, Business, Spanish, and all fine/musical arts. I would recommend this school.

Do not recommend this school. My daughter went in with high test scores her fifth grade year and dropped tremendously her 6th grade year. She was bullied and the principal was non responsive to my email and request for a conference. The front office staff was the worst. The best thing I have done is to transfer her out.

This school is just terrible. The teachers, terrible. The students, terrible. Faculty and Staff, terrible. The counselors terrible.. Many of the students here are bullies and really mean. The previous principal and vice principle would harass new teachers and bully them. Bullying is accepted at this school starting from administration.

The school is amazing the teachers are all nice, and respectful, the new principal is so nice and helpful, but the people in the office talked bad to my mom instead of a greeting.

I'm shocked that this school is still up and running.... recently moving down from St. Louis, I never knew what I was getting myself into. My child has only attended this school for 3 months and have come home with a problem everyday. Kids bullying him, trying to steal his phone, pushing him around, etc. Instead of the school district focusing on the funds they should hire authority to help run this school. This school is the reason I'm moving out of Dallas. I pray daily for my son and being African American doesn't make it any easier. He have students ask him almost everyday of he eats chicken and watermelon. Very depressing.

High quality extracurricular activities, great teachers, great principals. The school is not perfect, but it's a work in progress with people working very hard every day to create a rich, holistic learning environment. Discipline issues are my main complaint. But that's middle school.

Hands down the best middle school. I'm currently an 8th grader and it's the best middle middle school. All of the teachers are awesome and our sport teams are outstanding. Especially Cpl. Bates aka coach bates who is leaving. I'll miss you so much bates!!

Terrible school. Their football coaches don't teach fundamentals. My son had to re-learn everything at W T White. Even our superintendent knew to get his kid out of this mess! D

I have had a horrible experience at this school, and school has only just begun. I have come home and cried for hours and do not look forward to going to school at all. The children are rude to each other, and the curriculum for 8th grade is so far behind and I have Pre-AP classes. Not only are insanely strict, but they will yell at the students to the point where the students cry. I know that personally, and I am not a very sensitive person. The opnly positive thing I have to say about this school is that it is very well kept. Clean bathrooms, nice lunchroom and walls. The teachers do not spend enough time on the well behaved children and spend far too much time enforcing discipline to the others. As you can see the other students reviews below don't seem to show very much intelligence. I went into this school expecting a lot more than what I have actually received. I suggest you send your students somewhere else.

I think there getting strict last year was better Maybe Because of the rules and students like me dont like that
