parent of student I am extremely disappointed with the management. The coordinators are anything but fair, showing clear favoritism and failing to act justly with the student body. Furthermore, the office staff is completely incompetent; their work is lackluster, and they seem to have no idea how to do their jobs. They are unhelpful and frankly, the service leaves a lot to be desired. A very frustrating environment."

W.T. White High School has caring teachers and a friendly environment. There are lots of activities and opportunities for students to get involved. ItÂ’s a great place to learn and grow.

Of course it is not perfect but lets break this school down. Diversity - ABSOLUTELY. Sports - all sports made it to the playoffs in the 23-24 school yr with many athletes receiving scholarship offers for college. Test Scores - improving tremendously (few can say that after COVID). Teachers - most are happy to be here with a few in the building receiving distinguished teacher award (incredibly hard to obtain). The teachers care! One teacher even met a student at 10:00 at night to unlock her computer for her dual credit class! Speaking of dual credit. So many students graduating with their associates degree! College ready - the ASP program has already helped the senior class obtain $1.3 million dollars in scholarships and we are not even half way through the year. That's way better service than you get at a private school (we use to go to private school). Career Ready - many students have obtained their industry based certificate and the amount of programs being offered to the students is constantly expanding. Safety - continually working on this and the number of fights, etc keep going down, not up. If you want to get on a train headed to success, this is the time. They have not FULLY reached the station but they are on their way and it is GREAT TO BE A LONGHORN! I know because I have kids that have graduated from here and I have kids getting ready to graduate from here.

In my years as a student there it was the most inconsistent place I have ever been too. Security were a joke and did not care about safety having inappropriate relationships with students, including teachers. Sports programs are the most laughable part of the school. The only good teachers in my opinion are Mrs. Gan and a science teacher by Ms. G. They were honestly the only reliable teachers in this school

Impressive renovations, great coaches, teachers and programs. My kids are just getting started but I know a lot of recent graduates that got into good colleges. Many scholarship athletes, year after year. If you are an athlete in North Dallas I don't know why you'd go anywhere other than W.T. White. Coaches are amazing, truly care about the kids.

Horrible School. There are gangs and bullying. The teachers do care but have given up because of the policies and guidelines that they have to follow to heard more and more students through in order for the school to get funding. I highly advise that you do not send your kids here.

My daughter is currently a freshman at W T White. So far her teachers have been very helpful. She is in the Academy of Engineering at the school and is loving it. Her counselors have been very helpful in changing her schedule to allow for after school sports. She is taking mostly pre AP courses, all the students in these classes are committed to study and participation. There is a very strong PTA and Dad's Club. There are students at the school who do not care, however it is easy to take the more challenging courses and be around a large core group who wants to succeed and enjoy attending High School.

School is OK Counselor horrible. Dr. Washington is very disrespectful Daughter hates having to go talk to her for required stuff HORRIBLE

Posted: August 27, 2012

The school is okay, but I have never met such a rude counselor in my life. Counselors should make you feel welcomed and should WANT to help you, but, Dr. Washington does the complete opposite. She should not be working at schools with students, especially not as a counselor.
