Stay away from this school if your kid is academically-inclined. They will not acknowledge your kid’s accomplishments/ achievements. The ratings are self-earned by kids- neither teachers not staff do anything extra- there are hardly any ceremonies/ celebrations. Kids are nice but the school is a big let-down. I am glad my daughter only attended 8th grade here.

This is the best school ever. We moved here from Melissa Middle school and my son his having the best school year of his life. He comes home smiling and tells me everything about his day, and we moved for school. Back in Melissa, He was bullied every day, now he has never even encountered a rude person.

Reynolds Middle School is in my opinion one of the best middle schools in Prosper! For people who have children going to Reynolds soon, let me tell you in the perspective of a 6th grader. Reynolds has one of the nicest staffs I've seen in a long time! The band directors and principals are full of love and humor (Especially Mr. Bassham) and they love each and every one of their students! I personally think they also have THE BEST school lunch! They have Chick Fil-A, A burrito bar, and a regular lunch line! Parents, I highly recommend this school! (Side Note: It was also the old Prosper High School!)

We moved to PISD from a very poorly run ISD, in September of 2019. We are so happy with our decision to move to Prosper. My 6 grader absolutely loves it here too, he tells anyone who asks about it. How great is that? How many kids actually say: I LOVE school now!

He is now in 7th grade and still loves it just as much... (Except for a certain math teacher who apparently needs to be better medicated for her mood swings.) And the counseling department is top notch for sure!!!

I am very pleased with PISD, specifically Reynolds Middle School. My son came to the district 2 years ago with an IEP due to ADD. His teachers communicate regularly and he gets the academic support he needs, so much so that he is able to sit and do his own homework nightly without my assistance. We attend ARD meetings and everyone works hard to make sure he is meeting the assigned goals. Communication is great and the teachers really, really care.

I am not impressed with PISD. My son is in middle school, but the issues began in 2nd grade. My son finished the year reading an entire grade level below where he should have and we received zero communication from the teacher the entire year. We had to spend thousands of dollars to send him to Sylvan over the summer to get him caught up. In third grade, he was diagnosed with ADHD and Dysgraphia. We worked with the school to get a 504 put in place. In fifth grade, one of his teachers didn't know he even had a 504 and was violating it. That required several conferences/discussions with the teachers and the principal. Fast forward to middle school, items in the 504 mysteriously disappeared and we had to have them added back in. We were told our son could attend tutoring sessions before school to provide extra help in subjects he struggles with, however, the hall monitor wouldn't let him down the hall. Apparently, the hall monitor didn't think he needed to go to tutoring every morning. They push kids to be more involved in their education, which is a good thing, except when it isn't. My son is on the shy side so doing this isn't easy for him. Every time he's tried, he's been punished for it. Including having points deducted from a test by a teacher. The school/teachers decided to pull him out of a scheduled class to attend a "help" class without first sending home any kind of communication that this was recommended. In fact, the communication from the teachers (save one) really stinks. I dread taking my son to school every day. He hates it and I have watched him withdrawal and become slightly depressed. I have recently joined a local homeschool group and I see more and more people who have removed their kids from PISD. I don't believe they handle children with learning challenges very well.

Great school and district overall. The communication is fantastic so we felt like we were always up to date with events and activities. Wonderful and talented staff at the school level and district as a whole.

WE LOVE PROSPER ISD!! This is for the negative comment made on September,27 2014. I am so very sorry you are having a negative experience with your kids schools. Our son attends Reynolds middle school and we have been so very blessed with his teachers and all the friends he has made. We moved her over a year ago from another state that has poor education and very little parent/teacher involvement. Lazy and disrespectful? I have never seen so many active and well-mannered kids until we moved here. No kids are perfect no matter where you live. Again, so very sorry that you feel this way about a wonderful school district.

Do not be fooled by all the positive reviews. I know for a fact that there were no less than FIVE negative reviews from five separate people posted here that were REMOVED by the Great Schools administrator because someone from Prosper complained to them. Beware, Great Schools will remove negative reviews. The reviews had more to do with the people of Prosper that attend Reynolds, than Reynolds itself. Reynolds has great administrators and a few great teachers. If you want your kids surrounded by entitled, lazy, disrespectful kids then send them here. They have great test scores, yep...if that's all that matters then you will be happy here. Read this review quick because it will probably be taken down, if it ever gets posted...

This school was absolutely wonderful for my daughter and there is no other school like it! Recently, my daughter and I unfortunately had to move far out of the district for better convenience of me completing grad school....well my daughter misses this school like crazy and desperately wants to move back. I too miss the highly professional quality and caring of the teachers, office staff, principal, and everyone at Reynolds. The town of Prosper is a place where everyone sincerely cares, is friendly and courteous, and values people as humans and not just a number.

This School is fantastic. The teachers and leadership really care. They not only take into consideration your child's learning needs, but also the personal growth. My family has moved several times due to the type of work we do, however this school and district has been the most responsible and caring I have ever seen.

Reynolds is a very caring and academically balanced school. The teachers have been very accommodating and have offered tutoring without forcing it on our 7th grader. I've always found the office staff to be very helpful as well as kind. The principal is very involved as well as the superintendent. We love Prosper from the sweet bus driver who picks up and drops off in front of our home, to the award winning band program and top notch directors to the outstanding volleyball coaches. We love this Christian environment. A+ Reynolds!

We have had a great experience at Reynolds.We have 3 children in Prosper ISD and have beyond pleased with the experiences each of them have had so far.We loved everything about Reynolds as did our child.We have no regrets about purchasing in Prosper,primarily for the school district.
