My family has been a part of Harmony for three years now we have two children that currently attend and our third will be attending once he is eligible and age-appropriate. Harmony started off as just a school for our family. It has now grown to be our family our children are loved and supported by everyone within the school, students and staff down to our lunch monitors and our lunch ladies This school is extremely diverse and culture and education. No other school to stand out like Harmony.

As a new parent to Harmony, I transferred my son to this school based on positive reviews, and I genuinely commend the dedication of the teachers and principal in supporting students' academic progress. I am particularly pleased with the nurturing environment, where I can observe my son's development and acquisition of new skills. The support he receives from the teachers has alleviated my need for constant oversight of his studies. The school's commitment to providing additional classes when necessary is truly commendable. I cant say enough good things about this school! My child is in the Pre-K class, and weve had such a wonderful experience from the very first day. The teachers are so kind, patient, and genuinely care about each child. My little one has learned so much already and comes home excited to tell us about the fun activities they did in class. Its amazing to see how confident and happy theyve become! The school has such a warm, welcoming atmosphere, and I truly feel that my child is safe, loved, and supported every day. We are so grateful to be part of this school community!

Our Child is a new student to the Harmony Family. We together with our Child had an amazing experience so far at the Harmony School of Science (HSS) both with Academics and the extra-curricular activities. It's been just 2 months since the School started and we already got to witness and participate in so many fun events including Pastry party for Parents, Breakfast with the Grandparents, enjoyed the refreshing Popsicles on Auntin's triple-digit heat days, Heritage Month, participate in Attendance Poster contest, Tacky clothing on Fridays and so much more!! Our Child hasn't missed a Day in Sep which makes him eligible for the Monthly Raffle for Students with 100% Attendance!!

My kids love to go to school here. Since I moved them from their previous charter school, they look forward to going to school everyday. They were also tested and identified as gifted and talented. The GT curriculum is also very engaging for my children. I have a special ed kid and he's getting excellent support from the school. He has made much improvement in his speech since he started Pre-K a month ago.

Weve been with Harmony since 2020 and we are extremely satisfied with the quality of education and our kids are happy at this school.
We get all the support needed and can freely communicate with educators.
Security is a high priority and taken very seriously. They do all the safety drills often. We recommend this school. Our kids are Gr1 and Gr4 now.

My family feels so appreciative to this school for the great level of curriculum and attention that they have given both of our children. Mrs Canales, Mrs Figaroa, Mrs Ramirez, and Mrs Griffiths have been an awesome part of our children's educational journey, and we are so fortunate that they have been. They have all good given special attention, analysis, and solutions when needed to enhance or children's learning. We see the positive benefit of this school every day. If you want your Child to learn reading, writing, arithmetic, and science; if you want your child to be challenged; if you want your child to have sufficient levels of homework (granted, it can be a choir for us parents to manage) to reinforce your childs learning; and if you want your child to be in a orderly learning environment, then this is a great school for you.

Harmony School of Science is great. My child has been there since kindergarten and is now in the 5th grade. She has continued to excel academically and socially. The staff is supportive and engaging. I'd recommend the school. It's also great for parents who want to be involved in their child's school.

My son has been attending HSS since kindergarten and will stay till he graduates 5th grade! The small setting, the empathy and intellect within the teaching staff and the care given by the administrators is why we stay. He could go to a neighborhood school but he get so much more attending HSS!

Most of these reviews sound pretty admin generated, and around the same dates..interesting.
The teachers I have experienced here at Harmony have been great. They are always very nice and smiling. My child's teacher has worked hard with my kid, and it shows. I do have a problem with the lack of communication from the school, and the ethics. Emails have gone unresponded by the higher ups, but my child's teacher responded within a reasonable time frame.
Also, they no longer have a school library. What kind of school can take one of the best times in elementary school form these students! I just don't get it :/ I won't be taking my child to this campus no longer.

The CARPOOL lane is ridiculous, drop off and pick up. Parents dont follow the rules and think they are exempt from everything. Apparently no parking signs mean, if your a princess than you can park here. These parents want to give their kids more but are teaching their children to be *&^%&!!! There is NO order to anything here. I brought my son here to learn more and the only thing this school has taught him is that people behave in atrocious ways and think they are above it all.

If you can avoid this place, do so! There are so many other places to find a wonderful education without chaos and that can love and nurture your children. This place is DEFINITELY NOT IT!!!!

This is about the Zenith program (after school) and the fact that my son was kicked out for what felt like a three strike felon.

My son is a great kid. He is in the Gifted and Talented program and has had no issues in his classroom with anyone. He is smart, kind and compassionate to others. The Zenith staff was not kind or compassionate to him. One day when he dropped his snack when opening it, he said I want another. The teacher there said no. This caused an upset for him and he was frustrated. It he walked away from the situation and they followed him. Then he ran, they continued to chase him. It became a game a cat and mouse at this point and IF they would have just offered the snack, there would have not been an incident.

When I spoke to them on the phone, I told them to give him a snack. He was in tears and hysterical. It came down to the fact that he did not ask for the snack, he made a statement. If he would have been prompted, as any 8 year old should, then he would have asked politely. He was written up for this incident.

In two other matters, he got in trouble for hitting after being struck first. We do not condone hitting in our home but 8 year old boys are impulsive. Does the Zenith staff not know this? It seems to me they have no real authority or know how to manage kids otherwise there would have not been an issue at all.

When I walked in the final day to pick him up, I was told that I needed to talk to the boss . I had walked by the "boss" on the way in, who had said nothing to me. She told me I would receive an email from the director, which I received at 12:06 am telling me I could not bring my son to after school care any longer. This is the most unprofessional behavior that I have witnessed. There were three other employees there that could have told me when I picked up my son 5:45 that he was not allowed to return, instead I read the email at 7 AM when I wake up. What am i to do?

I believe it is disgusting and for a child to be kicked out after a third offense is ridiculous. They have no control over the situation unless they have completely passive children. Maybe they dont actually want to work; maybe sitting quietly and still is their idea of childcare.

I would not put my child in Zenith EVER again. Its a private daycare and even the principal said he could do nothing. Could he at least not look into it? PATHETIC!!!

Our Kindergarten teacher is great. The curriculum and after school activities are wonderful. My daughter goes to four different clubs a week. They have aftercare services that really benefits us as me and my wife both work. The administration and front office are very responsive to our requests and questions. Great school.

My son has been at HSS-Austin for the last 4 years and I am very happy with the education he is receiving. This school has dedicated teachers and a great system to enforce discipline. The school sends weekly Monday mails to inform parents about things happening at school. PTO is doing a great job arranging fun events for the parents to come together and socialize.

Academically, this school deserves 5 stars. The teachers and programs in place are designed to ensure your child succeeds. Teachers make themselves available to provide additional tutoring when needed. The area for improvement is organization. I see where the effort is being made, but many times, important details are shared when it's too late.

My both kids are going to this school. This is the 2nd academic year for both of my kids. Teachers are very friendly and understand the needs of students and try to help them to fill the gap by providing extra tutoring. Administrative staff is also really helpful.

This is our first year at a Harmony school, and about a month into the school year, as well as new to the Austin area. About 3 weeks before school started I made contact and explained our last minute relocation situation and pleasantly surprised to find the Registra person helpful and they fit him in. I am impressed with the Special Ed, math and science teachers. Academically, we are pleased. There are a great many clubs to choose from as well. However, administratively the school is plagued with disorganization. The supply list is a source of annoyance: two listed were posted to the site this year, one being incorrect which I downloaded. This list had items not on the correct one resulting in spending way more money then needed, then the teacher gave me attitude about not being prepared. For 3 weeks we kept getting new class syllabuses with additional supplies not on either list. I have spent well over $100 over 5 trips to the store and am DONE with supplies. Orientation day we could buy 2 shirts and was told to come back first day of school to buy more. Go back on 1st day and told by rude office clerk I have to wait until the next week. They don't know where their forms are half the time. Parking and drop off is a big safety concern. Parking lot woefully insuffient , partly because the elementary school also served as the drop off for middle school kids to take bus. Kids are crisscrossing parking lot to get to bus across the main thoroughfare entry for drop off, and I have honked my horn at inattentive drivers to stop before they hit a kid. This set up is dangerous. I am trying to give it time and a chance, and we really do like the academic side.

This is our second year at Harmony SS and it has been a wonderful experience. The teachers are great and very good at keeping the children challenged educationally. They do regular evaluations to determine the child's educational needs and strengths in order to accomplish this. The school offers after school clubs to help develop creativity and expand student interests.
I read a post here that said the office staff was not courteous, but I have found them to be more than helpful every time I have interacted with them. I just can't say enough good things about this school and its staff. They work hard to keep parents engaged in their child's education and informed about the educational options available to their students. We have no plans to send our child to any other school; we have found our perfect fit!

Even though the front office is very rude; now they have privacy screens on the windows, I guess not to be caught when they are not doing anything; there are a lot of dedicated people.
Teachers come and go, but still my kids love the school.
Could it be better? Way more. I hope some school officials read these reviews and fix the mentioned problems asap.

We wanted to find a better school for our first grade we thought we did. However this place is an unorganized mess. Orientation was a train wreck. They seemed to be under the impression that everyone should just know where to go and what to do. There were no signs on where to go, tables were scattered in the cafeteria and easily lost among the congestion of people. I still for the life of me can't understand how the teacher isn't there for orientation. It said meet returning teachers in the email but I guess that does not include all teachers. They also don't allow you in the school on the first day so yeah let me drop off my 6 year old with someone I've never met before.

I mistakingly left the school supplies there but shortly after leaving knew it wasn't the school for us. So we called at 8am to pick them up by 4 pm. By no surprise I showed up at 4 and nothing is ready. I finally left with half of what we dropped off but after interacting with the staff and witnessing their unprofessional attitude even bad mouthing another parent, and excuses for their inadequacy i felt it best to leave before I said something that warrants a call to the police. But hey let's be honest don't wine about how busy you've been... This is what you do. Figure out a system and be better.

These people felt shady, disorganized and unprofessional. By no means did I feel comfortable leaving my daughter with them. A parent should feel confident in a schools staff and organization I did not for either option.

My child has been at HSS Stonehollow for 1 yr and I'm disappointed. The school is based on too many policies and doesn't allow the students to be kids. Expectations are unrealistic and staff/administrators don't practice what they preach. I'm involved and need to know what's going on with my child. My kid's home room teacher is arrogant and can be defensive when I have questions/concerns. My child has too much homework not allowing for outside extra curriculum activities;It's stressful on parents and kids. I do however love the Spec Ed Prog coordinators. My child would be pulled out of this school fast if it hadn't been for the Spec Ed dept. The school is unorganized , the front office staffs is unprofessional. When I schedule alternative pickups for my child, I always have complaints that the front office was not helpful and came off as rude making it a difficult task for my parents to pick up my child when needed. The campus isn't clean and there are drapes on the girls & boys bathroom entrances instead of doors. The afterschool prog Zennith is horrible and doesn't provide quality educational care. The school doesn't meet my expectations of excellence. It needs work!

This is a great school!! My son completed his first year at Harmony and loved it! He enjoyed his classes because they made learning fun, and he was able to make friends quickly. He will be going into sixth grade next year and is looking forward to it. I am so relieved that we found such a great school. I especially like the fact that it is small school and safety is taken seriously. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that my other two kids will get in.
