Austin Achieve could be a great school. Unfortunately, they treat parents with disdain. All you have to do is pull up to the front of their NW elementary school to see this. One of the first people you will see is a lady who will be throwing her arms about, "guiding" parents to park. The way she does this shows that she has no respect for parents and treats us as subpar. You will think, "I hope they don't treat my kid like this." Last year my kid came home claiming she was put in a corner as a timeout punishment. When I confronted the principal and superintendent, their only goal was to defend their position despite the facts. Not all, but most of the staff act out of spite and not compassion. Do yourself a favor. Avoid the drama and send your kid to AISD. From the principal, Williams, to the superintendent, Habibbi, there is zero compassion in their administration. It's more about protecting their house than doing the best for our children.

If I could move and change my child from school I would the teachers are awful theyre all rude and they hate being asked questions no one is held accountable for their attitude literally went to meet the teacher and literally everyone has an attitude and look at you funny like youre not making sense

I was sold on this school by the former principle when they were in the process of building the campus on 290. The first year or so wasnt terrible, however communication with the school is awful (they dont answer the phone and dont have a list of numbers for teachers/departments like other schools). The test scores from this school are highly concerning as well. When approached about these on the back to school/meet the teacher day the principal of the school had literally no answer for this (my assumption is the person the last review was speaking of is this woman). Ive heard nothing but complaints from other parents. When this school year is over I will be pulling my daughter out to attend a school with teachers who actually NEED a teaching certificate to teach and also a school thats more inclusive.

The organization's staffing decisions have raised concerns as experienced teachers have been let go in favor of uncertified ones. Unfortunately, the administration lacks the necessary experience and credentials to provide proper support to the teachers. Some individuals have been promoted to leadership positions based on personal connections rather than merit, resulting in frequent reminders of their roles and responsibilities. Additionally, there seems to be a lack of focus on the core job duties, with some employees engaging in side businesses or prioritizing personal continuing education over their primary responsibilities.

Regrettably, there is an unspoken but widely acknowledged issue with one particular individual in a higher position who displays condescending and rude behavior. This person appears to be ill-equipped for their role, but the reluctance to address the matter has created an atmosphere where constructive feedback is suppressed.

Addressing these concerns and fostering a more conducive working environment for both teachers and administrative staff is essential to ensure the organization's success and the well-being of its members. Open communication and a fair, merit-based approach to hiring and promotion are vital to cultivating a positive and effective workplace culture.

Since the beginning of my daughters journey in Austin Achieve, she's improved, not only academically, but as a young lady, and person. Making education a priority, and trying to excel with the help of excellent teachers and staff. The principal is an amazing human being, the counselor has been of critical help to my daughter. I am one proud Austin Achieve parent!!!

Austin Public School is top number one cause my has child overcome her fear of passing her classes and standard testing. She started here since her 8th grade now she still currently she in 9th grade at Austin Pubic School. She would always say that my school when pass by it. Her grades has been improving, and her self-esteem has shines. She love playing for Volleyball, and Soccer. This school has gave my family and I new outlook on education. I am looking forward to Next year.

As a volunteer at my child's elementary school, I saw that as good and devoted as the teachers are, if there is chaos in the classroom, children have a hard time learning. The teachers did not have support from leadership and parents. Regardless, our child was an honor roll student, but it was not a good environment.
Our goal was to find a school that has an atmosphere of learning, accountability, respect, and leadership support.
I went to a presentation by the principals (Reece and McKee) at Austin Achieve. They spoke about the school goals, and those included what we want in a school our child attends.
If you want your child to attend a school that inspires them to learn, and you want them in a safe environment, this is the school for your Family.

I have a 7th grade daughter and this school year my son enter 6th grade, which has been a great experience. My daughter has excel in her reading level which she was behind when she enroll in this school. I have a peace of mind that my children are in Austin Achieve all the teachers are professional, helpful and wonderful.

The teacher to scholar ratio is small. The teachers care about the scholars. There is tutoring before and after school for scholars that need a little extra help. I feel welcome anytime I visit the campus. My daughter is doing great in all her courses, and she has decided to be involved in sports due to the atmosphere at Austin Achieve.

Made a huge mistake thinking this would be a good school for my child to attend.The staff is very condescending and rude.They don't want to hear a parents input and when dealing with the middle school principal he talks to you as though you are a student yourself. When enrolling for the school I was very mislead. Trying to contact the director but his number has no voicemail.

The team Austin Achieve is the most highly committed to their students that I've worked with. The teachers and leadership are genuinely motivated to pushing the students to succeed regardless of the students' previous educational experiences. Austin Achieve is an outstanding place to work. Staff members strive to provide every opportunity for the students to receive the best possible college preparatory education available. Students are provided with teachers strong in their content area; teachers who genuinely care about the success of each and every student, as well as their well-being. I couldn't imagine working at any other organization. From the students and their families, to the staff members that are around me daily, everyone is a family. The culture of the school is close-knit; doing whatever is possible to ensure the safety and success of one another. Students are exposed to a variety of activities that they may not otherwise be exposed to (CHEFS, bee keeping, gardening, film society, etc). What we have to offer the students in the Austin area are the tools and skills needed to excel in life--in multiple avenues.

Austin Achieve is a great school with an incredible team of teachers who truly care about their students. As an employee at the school, I have seen many of our children grow to discover their love for learning and cultivate an excitement for their future. Our commitment to college-readiness can be found throughout the curriculum, and our after-school activities are truly unparalleled. We have soccer, lacrosse, gardening, beekeeping, french club, film club and much more!

My son has been attending Austin achieve since it began and it has gone significantly down hill. My son has been harassed, beat up, his clothes and back pack destroyed, racial slurs due to being Caucasian, and his lunch stolen while he was eating it. Nothing has been done and it has only gotten worse. We are now moving to round rock to get him into a better school system despite the fact I have lived in Austin for 20 years. I've had it. Do not let your kids into this school unless you want your child to hate getting an education.
