My child does not have homework but I tend to go over the paper work with her that she brings home in her folder on Fridays.

My child has excelled tremendously since she has been at Kinwest. She's in the transition 1 class and she is fully potty trained at 2 1/2.

my child is so confident now. I had trouble with her speaking before putting her in school, but know she's counting to 30, she knows the sounds of the alphabets, parts of the bird, horse, and frog. she tells me about her friends, and she loves singing Spanish songs.

I noticed that there is a special needs child in my daughters class and I've witnessed her teacher talking positively about the child to the parent during pick up.

I have no complaints! I've had a great experience at KMA thus far. The staff in the front can be a little aggressive but they get the job done.

Same reasons as above and obvious reasons mentioned above.

Not applicable to me. The school is not able to handle normal kids and parents. They absolutely do not have skills to handle students with learning differences.

I do not see integrity, compassion and respect with the school management and do not expect to see that in children spending all day in that school.

The director of the school is very unprofessional and crosses her limit when talking to parents about their personal decisions for their child. She needs training on talking to parents with to not lose her respect. She being the leader of the school and not knowing basic principles of handling parents gives a perception of her guiding teachers and the teachers being able to handle kids with care.

The teacher that my child was in her 2 year old classroom were patient and handled children as expected to handle toddlers.

Worst. There are many schools that value their work, children and parents and this is not one of them.

I must say, I was really nervous to visit this school after reading the google reviews. I called and scheduled the tour. Ellen took me around the facility and talked to me about the activities, the Montessori method and curriculum. She answered my list of questions even when I came back the second time with more. I asked for a meeting with the Director and some time to spend in the classroom and the one on one with the kids potential teachers and they let me schedule that as well. So far the experience has gone well. I am transitioning my kids to a new school after they have been at their current school since they were babies, so making sure I make the right choice is very important to me. I like the variety in their programs offered for kids to be well rounded and have a strong foundation to build on. Hopefully i can remember to post again after they have been enrolled in the program a while. I don't think any school is perfect, but from what I have experienced so far with Kinwest they are off to a good start in my book. Hope this was helpful to someone.

9/2/2016 Update
My kids started at Kinwest yesterday. They have been awesome. I sat with the Director the day before and she talked to me about the school-encouraged me on how much they would learn and how they will spend this initial time bonding with my boys. She seemed excited to have them join the family. My twenty month old's teacher has called me at noon each day to tell me how he was adjusting the first couple of days.My four year old seems to be adjusting as well. Excited about his class and the new things he is learning. The staff has been so helpful getting us all setup. They have made the experience of transitioning my kids to a new school a breeze.

I have my both kids going here for a while now. We are very satisfied with the quality of education here. I agree with the review which says "there is always room for improvement" as we felt few things could have been better regards to assistant staff. The focus on reading is beyond expectation. Just in few months you could see the difference in your child. The student/teacher ratio is well maintained which gives personal attention to a child.

I have two of my kids that are currently attending KMA and have since Aug 2014 and we think the school and staff are for the most part very good. The teachers are very caring and really seem to have a passion for what they do. Our kids enjoy attending school and other extra curricular activities they offer. There's always room for improvement for all of us so they are no exception in terms of a couple of assistant staff members who help in the classroom. I'm uncertain if the other negative reviews on this site were legit but for the most part, they are unable to review the content of the education being provided by KMA but rather they stop prematurely at their initial tour. I agree the tour was a bit unpolished when we had it as well but we were able to look at the big picture and found the school to be very effective. Our 6 year old is doing multiplication and writes in cursive...something that public school kids don't get till 2nd or 3rd grade so we are very happy with KMA.

My son attended Kinwest Montessori for 4 years, but due to an out of state relocation we had to leave the school. When enrolling him into the new school he should have started at the first grade level, however because of his test results they placed him in second grade and give him third grade level work. He is excelling in the public school environment and I strongly believe it is because of the attention he received from Kinwest Montessori. I would definitely recommend this school and only hope to find a school similar to Kinwest for my youngest son.

Today we went to KWM (Kinwest Montessori Academy Irving, TX) for a tour for our child for Pre-K, but as soon as we were introduced with the staff, we found that they had lot of attitude problem, they were behaving like we(parents) are un-educated and we don't know how to take care of our child education, by the way we both have Masters Degree in our fields and I am in senior level in one of America's top telecom company. They are under false impression, that they are the best in Dallas area and all their kids will go to "Harvard" in future, what a joke :) I don't want to argue with them, so i told them that i don't want my child should be in a place where there is so called "high level" false impression and we left. And before submitting this review by chance i spoke to one of my friend and i found that he also had the same experience. So i was thinking if staff has this kind of attitude problem, what child will learn? So before sending you child to KWM, my suggestion is "Please think twice and check other schools also"
