Our family had a heartbreaking experience at Hart Elementary School. My granddaughter reported being mistreated by a school staff member who would come into her classroom. She told us she was pushed and spoken to in a demeaning manner, which caused her emotional distress.

We met with the principal to express our concerns and expected the situation to be taken seriously and investigated. Unfortunately, we left feeling that our concerns were ignored and that no meaningful action was taken to protect my granddaughter.

Every child deserves to feel safe, respected, and supported at school, especially by the adults who are entrusted with their care. I hope the school takes future complaints seriously and works to ensure that all students are treated with kindness and dignity.

when my son first went there everything was great. the principal held staff accountable but she left and everything went down the drain. my son started getting picked on by students and staff. and when I'd report it nothing was being done. I would get the "you never told me" even hough I had emails by them saying they would investigate. my son was definitely treated differently. if you weren't Hispanic no one gave any cares about you. my son is considered special needs and it was like fighting tooth and nail to get the stuff that was all agreed on during his ARD meeting to be done. and when I went up the chain of command the teachers would retaliate and make my sons day even harder. very unprofessional. these are grown adults. I have requested footage and have seen both my child in the wrong as well as staff in the wrong. but I can't provide assist with helping my son succeed if i dont have my sons accurate documentation to support anything to his outside providers it makes it all harder. it's the last thing I want to do is be constantly undermining the staff . but when they tell me one thing and on the camera footage they are the ones in the wrong. it puts me in a bad spot. on a daily log they said my son was there on Dec 15th 2024... thats a Sunday. but when I asked the teacher they denied it. and my son came home crying said the teacher screamed at him all day and said hurtful things to him. this is a child you are degrading . what is wrong with you all. this school is the absolute worst. oh and they restrain child without having CPI training and always fail to provide restraint documentation. my son comes home with bruises. what am I supposed to do when episd protects their own instead of the child...
