Out of all of the middle schools Ive been to, Nolan Richardson is by far the worst. I was harassed both by the students and the teachers and had my belongings stolen on numerous occasions. The staff doesnt care if you get bullied or require special needs for minor disabilities. Dont send your child here unless you want them to be harassed and struggle educationally.

As a student at this school I have got to say this school is one of the worst schools I have ever experienced! Not only did they disregard their students with chronic illnesses but they also refused to care for their students who reported bullying! The only people who did anything to care for their students were the teachers! The amount of times I had went to the office to report bullying and they did absolutely nothing is beyond outrageous. Never will I recommend this school, and I wish the best for the students attending.. I do say, some of the teachers where saints but besides that this school was horrible

This school is horrible they pick favorites especially the teachers one of my teachers reset not one but 5 schoology assignments and claimed that I did not do them after I wrote down when they were done and even got help. And last year I was bullied the whole and it was my first year I reported it and they waved it off and threatened to put me another girl in iss for the so called drama we were in. Another girl touched me and some other students Inappropriately and a bunch of us reported it but they did nothing and it was on camera. And at a teacher's parent conference a teacher said that I fell asleep on an assignment on the computer and lied and said it was another assignment but I went to go look and it was just a bad grade. And the assistant went through a bunch of kids phones without permission, I'm talking about messages and other personal things. And the Spanish teacher who is supposed to TEACH us Spanish only gives us work and has us translate it on the computer.

Its hard to find authentic reviews. My family moved to the area (military), my daughter is taking AP core classes and is excelling at this school. Her teachers are helpful and responsive. There is a tutoring schedule posted online/ newsletter if kids need support after school from their teachers. Im very happy with this school.

My son graduated from Nolan and my daughter is currently enrolled. Both of my children took pre-AP core classes, and I am incredibly satisfied with academic rigor. Almost all teachers they have had are exceptional, and I highly recommend this school. Also, I love how culturally diverse the neighborhood is.

It's been a absolute nightmare! Lies, no accountability, and no care by the admin

My child has struggled with math. When he entered NRMS I brought up the concern that my son struggles to multiply and I would like that to be a a focus. Both his math teacher and principal shrugged their shoulders and said that's why we have calculators.

My son's laptop is completely youtube videos the whole school day. When I asked why it wasnt blocked the school told me its Impossible. Dont understand how its impossible for them but not other schools. Also when I removed the laptop the teachers struggled with alt. Assignments.

My daughters were bullied at this school to the point that I withdrew them. I went to the school and told them about the bulling and they did not even speak to the girls that were bulling my kids. They only wanted to change my daughters class but no consequences for the girls that were bulling my kids. The gang of girls would try to fight my girls and they even hit one of my daughters. This school is the worst and to find out that these girls also bullied one of my daughters friends the year before and nothing was done then also.0

All three of my children attended this school on transfers. It is an awesome school with teachers and administrators that care. Parent involvement is exceptional. The school has awesome teachers that are very creative in their teaching methods. Mr. Manago runs a tight ship and has high expectations of his staff and his students. He is always looking out for what is best for his students. He has always been supportive of the community and always open to ideas that will assist students of NRMS to succeed. Definitely the best middle school in the Northeast if you are looking for a school that promotes academics, community involvement, athletics and citizenship!

We just moved to this area (military) This school is NOT military friendly!! We had to register our student 3 times once online, twice in person. The staff read students middle name and added her as two different students.. The first day of school was a train wreck. After registering HEADACHE three days. With the Ass. Principal talking over her councilors while they were trying to do there jobs. She ( Ass. Principal ) tried to exert her dominance by having the parent sit while she stood and yelled over them ( by "them" parent and the councilors alike.
We were informed at locker assignment day the schedule you receive was the only one the student would get. Yet on the first day you had to go to the office to get the exact same schedule but in blue. My student had her previous schedule with her. She went to stand in the Office line as she was instructed to get a blue schedule. After 30 minutes of waiting ( could have been avoided by original schedule) my student received a white copy of the blue schedule or the exact same schedule she had received on locker assignment day with the word blue on the top. Both schedules were exactly the same. zero new information. Then my student was yelled at to get to class because school started. It's not just NON military friendly it is NOT friendly at all!!

Relocated to the school in the middle of the school year. During the seven months my child attended school here, bullying occurred more than educating. My child was extremely outgoing and enjoyed school before attending here. The aministrative staff and teachers simply chalked it up to a teenage crush. They made no efforts to correct the problem except for relocating my child to a new desk, but made to continue to work with the bully during class time. The administrative staff is very hands-off when it comes to the parents and their concerns. They don't want you to contact them if there's a problem. They do not make themselves available to speak to the parents rather they leave it in the hands of the teachers that already have a difficult workload. The school is short on teachers and has plenty of assistant principals who were they are to act as buffers and dismiss problems. Don't be misled by the test scores, as there are better educational options in El Paso.

We recently moved our child here after attending Bassett for one year! Bassett was a horrible experience. I couldn't be more please with our move. My son is excelling in every avenue! So proud to be a Jaguar!

This is the best middle school in the NE area in el Paso. My son recently graduated from here and I'm very thankful for my son's learning in this school. I thank for all teachers and counselors from Noland Richardson.

Best Middle School for the NE and North Hills Community! The school is very strict in the dress code and overall behavior of the students, they are also very much involved in the kids education. Highly recommend!!

I got to this school right now in 2014. It is the WORST school I have ever attended. It feels apathetic and pointless to be there. The administration is more concerned with dress code and discipline than education. The office staff is very unfriendly and unhelpful. Bullying is the WORST here. I never see a kid not get picked on. Things change every year and they are making ridiculous rules and efforts to keep students in check, I have a teacher saying I failed to turn in assignments when I had never heard about them and wasnt absent. Please do not send your child here. Please!

Amazing Nolan Ricardson taught me a lot I miss walking the halls at that school every single day. I have memories that will stick with me til the day I die. I was one of the best defensive players to ever play for Nolan and i still have records that have remained. The teachers are absolutely amazing and if you want your students to succeed i recommend Nolan Richardson.

BEST Middle School in El Paso!!!! My child attended her 6th grade year here, and it was a great year for her! Yes the school is strict with policy, however that is what makes it such a great place for the children! Of course not every aspect will be perfect, but rules and policy are a part of life. Get involved with the school and be a volunteer, it really does makes a big difference for the kids! My child enjoyed all her teacher's here and, the current Principal is all about helping the children succeed, setting goals, and making school fun! I would recommend this school above any other in El Paso hands down!

I am an 8th grader who is currently going to Nolan Richardson Middle School NRMS is WAY too concerned with their rules; they focusing on the rules more than the education. Stuff like how tight our pants are (being a female, they judge how tight our pants are by looking at our thighs) what color our undershirts are, if we rubberband our shirts (I had bought a shirt from the school, they said it was "the only size they had", so now when I wear this HUGE shirt I have to rubber band it so it doesn't look big, I am threated to be written up), what kind of jewlery we wear (I was wearing a neclace with a cross on it, being that I am a christian, and was told I had to take it off and put it away or it would be confiscated), but mainly their problem is the jackets. They make new rules whenever they want! We can't wear anything thats not school color, has a zipper, or a hood EVEN IF it has the NRMS logo on it! Even our sports teams got jackets, and with new rules, they can only wear it on game days! Even if we are holding them, we get them taken away! OH and hugging! They will write you up if you hug ANYONE. Same or difeerent gender, TRUST ME, I know! Don't send your kid here. PLEASE!!

This is how I see it, This school is concerned more about policy then education. Then to top it off, it has one of the WORST bullying problems I have EVER seen. I walk down a hall to my class and most of the time a kid is being picked on. Too much gossip and rumors. The only good thing is the teachers, If they ran the school, It would be better for the school and the students. The admin is all messed up. However, Not being to other schools i cannot recommend or not recommend this school. Just remember their strict on uniforms. They care more about that then everything. Oh lets not forget changing the dress code so we cant have jackets in the freezing classroom right when winter comes. Thanks
