In 2022, I registered my kids for pre-K and kindergarten at Lake Cities Montessori. They've been consistently participating in the after-school care program ever since. The teachers at the school have shown remarkable dedication and care for the students, establishing a nurturing and supportive learning atmosphere. overall I rate Lake Cities Montessori as a very good school and I would recommend them any time.

My children have been attending this school for the last 8 years, and as of now my children attend Lake cities Montessori after school program, As I can
attest, from 2015 and after, this facility has made a difference in my children's lives. I hope my long experience can educate other interested parents about how special this school is for us.
I like this facility because it is a family-oriented Montessori school and unique in many ways. Both directors are very experienced in this field. They work hard to be on top of every issue at their school, which gives you a good feeling when you go there every day as a parent. The place is always clean and organized. the staff Ms. Maria, Nina, Holly, Karen ....are very friendly and caring. The management is truly committed to providing your child with a safe, fun, and loving environment throughout the year, especially their summer amp is really unique.
I'm grateful for their hours as well, it is important since not everyone worked a 9am to 5 pm job. The days that the school is closed are minimal, and you have the calendar schedule in advance. one of my favorite moments was when I dropped off my little one, she turned around and said bye mommy, and made her way to her class. So, what more you may expect from your child's daycare!

Lake Cities Montessori has been an answer to our payers! Our son started when he was just over 2 years old and has been going part-time for almost a year now. We are so pleased with the progress he has made academically, socially, and personally. This school provides a great balance of Montessori work, free play for the children (so important!) and fun learning experiences outside of their normal classroom work.
Our little boy comes home singing new songs, describing things in the most incredible manner "that is dark blue" or "the thick one, not the thin one", and has learned his numbers and letters much faster than he would have from mom. His independence has skyrocketed and he loves to help around the house and with his own things. His teachers work wonders!
When our son suddenly started to experience separation anxiety, Dr. Adibi and Ms. Mary were incredibly attentive to my concerns and my sweet boy. They relayed our concerns to all of the teachers, and continue to facilitate easy drop off. There is nothing like receiving a handwritten note from the school's director, in collaboration for your child's care.
As a pediatric occupational therapist, I know how important it is to assist children in developing their whole selves. Lake Cities Montessori teaches these precious children the skills they need to grow into responsible, caring adults. The Montessori approach combined with the teachers' love of children at LCM makes this happen on a daily basis. I absolutely love that they reach my child on his level, and carefully and lovingly guide him to higher education.
We are so thankful to have found this school!

I love the Montessori approach and how each child can learn at their own pace. It's the perfect place for any child at any learning level.

Teachers keep a close eye on things and are great at giving parent reports when needed. I have no concerns regarding this at LCM.

The directors are great at giving ideas of practical ways to support my child's learning at home without 'homework'.

The teachers seem to know each and every child at the school! They are wonderful at motivating and redirecting when needed.

Lake Cities Montessori was the best decision I could have made toward my childs education. I just moved from Houston so finding the right school in Dallas was a challenge. I went through about 10 Montessori schools before finding Lake Cities Montessori.
Being a doctor in pharmacy and coming from a family of medical doctors, dentist, lawyers, for my little girl education and nurturing was my primary concern and this school did exceptional! Alyssa was only 4 years old but reading on a 2nd grade level after we got her tested. Proud to say she past every standardize test with above average. Mrs. Mary teaches from the heart and truly cares.
Alyssa had a lot of allergies and had to have special provisions that other schools could careless but Mrs. Mary made sure that she didnt eat anything that was not hers. She had to take digestive enzymes and the school always made sure she received her medicine. She cares so much for the children at her school. She works with us to make sure my child was getting the best education and learning as much as she could. Mrs. Mary will meet with us on Alyssa whenever we wanted it was a revolving door. We would still be here but I drive from Plano just to bring Alyssa to Lake Cities Montessori. This school gave my daughter the foundation and the tools for success. Mrs. Mary is very caring and I never had to worry if my child was treated fairly. Alyssa loved the school and never wanted to leave. I would sometimes run late to pick her up because I worked far. When I would come my daughter would be reading a book to another student. Words cannot express what Lake Cities would do for your child. Its a small school but the reward is BIG! Dont be blinded by the big buildings choose a school that will focus on your child and his or her needs. Thank you Mrs. Mary for everything words cannot thank you enough for the impact you have had on my baby.

Teachers are as effective as they can be. There is sort of a dictatorship style in the leadership above which cripples the teachers performance.

Leadership does not encourage teachers to do better. The atmosphere is oppressing.

As a Montessori school my expectations were high. Although the curriculum is outstanding on its own, this school lacks modernization and dynamics to effectively work with children. The building itself is quite old and lacks a vibrant atmosphere for children.

I have two children who attend Lake Cities Montessori. My oldest is 3 and my little girl is almost 10 months. They both love Lake Cities Montessori.
Ms. Kylie takes care of the little ones most of the time and I cannot say enough about her. She is very kind and attentive. She gives wonderful updates and reports at the end of every day which lets us as parents know how perceptive she is of the children she takes care of. She enjoys her job and everyone involved is better for her being around.
Our 3-year-old has been at the school for almost a year and WOW! He has learned so much. The Montessori teaching style is an incredible tool, especially in the hands of the knowledgeable staff at Lake Cities.
As with any school we have had a few bumps and bruises. As very attentive parents we have discussed all issues with Dr. Adibi and Ms. Mary. They take each situation seriously and make sure everyone is properly taken care of. Once you meet them it is easy to see they have a passion for their work and do it with full and open hearts.
This review is my honest opinion. I have no relation to anyone at the school. If you would like to ask me questions about the school in order to get a parent's view please contact Dr. Adibi or Mrs. Mary and I will have them give you my phone number.

I am the mother of an ADHD boy who has been enrolled at Lakeside Montessori for just over a year. I am the mother of 4 children in all, with this being the youngest. All four were enrolled in different Montessori schools for pre-kindergarten programs. All four of my children are blessed with ADD, which tends to be a huge problem for most teachers, but not here. Dr. Adibi and Mrs. Mary have transformed a once hyperactive four year old child into one that can sit and learn, while staying better focused on learning. The difference one can find in a Montessori school is the same as in anything. There are good ones and bad ones and it s hard to navigate which one you should try out. What they have done for my son in the past few months has transformed him from learning his basic A, B, C s, to reading three and four syllable words, from counting 1-20, to now he is doing 4 place addition and some multiplication. I know this isn t typical behavior for a five year old. Small classrooms, lots of teachers, and loads and loads of one on one attention. They are paying attention to the small details. There is really a gem here in Garland with this small family owned school.
