This school has gotten worse every year. My grandson is always getting picked on but he is the one to get in trouble. Seems like the teachers have their favorites and if mm it is not you too bad. The teachers do not teach very well either. This is a poorly run school do not recommend.

Horrible school. They fired a teacher over attendance issues and kept the geometry/algebra teacher who taught absolutely nothing. The geometry teacher was reported multiple times to the office, even the principal and no action was taken, even when they said they would. Dont waste your time putting your kid in here, we learn nothing. I feel bad for all of those kids who failed the algebra star test, it wasnt their fault the school took on a teacher who refused to do her job and held the students accountable.

my son loved this school, he told me how he pushed a kid into a tuba in the band hall and poured milk and baking soda down the kids underwear. He really loves his friends dearly, and I'm glad I sent him to this school!! it's been about 3 years and hes going to graduate this year cant wait to see what he will do with his life now!

This was my sons first year with this school and it was jr high and My son made one mistake in 4 months and the school decided to kick him to the curb!! I would understand if it was a everyday thing or an every week thing but its so close to the end of the school year and as if he doesnt have a hard enough time learning now he has to learn a whole new school and new teachers!! Children make mistakes thats no reason to make them feel like they are a bad person or a bad kid by kicking them out what kind of example does that teach them that they have to be perfect and they are not allow to make any kind of mistakes in life!! Its life and if we dont make mistakes then we cant learn from our mistakes and grow to be a better person!!

Wish I could give this school zero stars. This school is awful deciding to send my kids to misd was the greatest decision I could have ever made. My child had a teacher who constantly fell asleep in the middle of teaching lessons I asked my son why is the teacher still there his reply was I don't know and we tell the principal and she does nothing about it awful excuse of a principal was told by other parents she doesn't really do anything . Also Spoke with other parents because his math grade was so low and was told this school is desperate for teachers and they hire anybody with out the qualifications and the last principal got fired for improper relations but did more for the school then the new principal and this is so called leadership school . If you want your child to learn something and be successful in life this is the school you do not want to send your child my son didn't learn nothing at this school. Close this school down sending my child to Lee freshman was the best decision I made!

WORST CHARTER SCHOOL IN MIDLAND!!
Apparently you can not leave an honest review about this TLCA Midland school on their Facebook page without being blocked. They have even gone as far as to fix it so that no one can leave a review on Google for them. They obviously don't want anyone to know the truth about this school. The staff is incompetent / unorganized, not qualified, and rude. The so called "teachers" that are here do not even have a degree in any sort of teaching subject. And don't get me started on how overly crowded this school is. They have way too many children in rinky dink class rooms, and they keep adding more grades when this building isn't even that big to begin with. So dropping off your child and picking them up becomes a nightmare in the overly crowded parking lot. Some of the parents can be rude and inconsiderate, there has been several occasions where either my child and I were almost hit, and my vehicle. Please save yourself the stress and heartache that we went through and stay far away from this horrible excuse of a school.

I did not like the way that the teachers yelled at the students. My kid was always in trouble due to the fact that he was getting picked on and the school would not do anything about it. My kid eventually took it into his own hands and of course that makes him the bad one. If the teachers don't want to deal with your kid they jut ignore the kids or send them to the office. I totally dislike this school and so does my kid. When you have to beg your kid to go to school then it is not the right school for them and that would be this one.

TLCA is the worst charter school in midland. the 6th grade teacher is a crybaby and my child has probably learned more about her life story than she has math or reading. im tired of the rude staff also. glad this school years almost over.

I've taken my child out of Texas Leadership of Midland because of the horrible circumstances there. First off, my child has complained about her teacher. She's reported that her teacher is rude towards not only her but almost all of the class. She also says they've taken away recess because of kids getting hurt! I understand that some kids will break arms and need bandaids because of rough play at recess, but is it really necessary to cut down their recess to 15 minutes? They recently cut down on P.E. time too because of "terrible scores" on the STAAR test. Last year my child went to a private school and they didn't do so well on the test scores but the school didn't make them stop everything and overload on information! My child has come home tired, and overall overworked. I've also experienced first-hand the terrible lunch food. I ate lunch with my kid one day and the kids were fed bad-smelling plops of stuff they call "food" I got a milk from the line that one day I ate with my kid, it was chunky and expired! Please, do not enroll your kids here.
