I am utterly appalled and disgusted with the treatment my child received at Hosp Elementary. Throughout the school year, my child was subjected to racial slurs by teachers, and the principal was fully aware of these incidents but chose not to inform me. This lack of communication and transparency is a severe dereliction of duty. Furthermore, one of the teachers physically put their hands on my child, an incident which was also seemingly covered up. While the school saw fit to fire the teacher who had the integrity to inform me of these issues, the teacher responsible for the physical contact was retained. This demonstrates a shocking disregard for student safety and well-being, and a deeply flawed disciplinary process. I would strongly advise any parent to reconsider sending their child to this institution.

Zero stars!!! This school is very racist! Avoid sending your students to this school. I was a teacher here and please believe me when I tell you they dont care about minorities. I witnessed a teacher call a special needs student a derogatory name and admin did nothing about it! That same teacher harassed that same student the entire school year and nothing was done about it.

Hosp has implemented teams concept, each group consists of pre-k to 5th grade. it helps kids to see all grade students and engage with other kids.

This school really believes in the research that consistently shows very little benefit to homework at the elementary stages, outside of reading and some math practice, so that's all they have. It still give us a responsibility for homework while still giving our kids the freedom to be the kids that they are.

I love all the teachers at this school. They are very nice and love their students so much.

This school has the best principal ever. He is so nice and plugged in. He always knows what's going on, even with my specific child, despite having 800 or so kids to manage. He's the best!

I do not agree with other reviews that say the school doesn't care about bullying. My son was being bullied, and it was addressed immediately, not only reprimanding the past behavior, but they implemented a full plan to prevent reoccurence.

We love Hosp! It's a great school!

They don't believe in homework which boggles my mind. Their principle sites studies that state that it provides better results and less stress on students. Here's the problem with that...
When kids don't get homework from school how are they suppose to practice what is taught at school? The whole reason this school's test scores rate so high is not because of the school. We have more than 50% of students that are minorities and they either have parents taking them to after school tutoring or parents, like myself, go over subjects covered at his school.
The most important issue with no homework is that they will NOT be prepared for Middle School. Neighbors with kids that go from Hosp to Pearson have complained that their kids struggled to adjust because of the amount of school work that's given compared to what they received at Hosp...which is ZERO!
Terrible Idea!

The school does a good job in catering to kids with learning disabilities, no doubt. The problem is the students that excel are not encouraged or challenged!

Terrible, just Terrible, this is the worst school I've ever seen.

The math homework is easy and pointless!!

Half the time the teachers aren't even in the room.

There are lots of bullies and the teachers don't care.

I've never heard of them ever teaching "Leadership".
Posted: August 6, 2019
All they have are simple tutoring sessions.

At the close of the 16-17 school year, 10 teachers announced they were leaving the school. This is not a good feeling as a parent. Teachers don't leave a great school to be at.

The school is enforcing the parents to drop only in one location and this makes the kids and parents to walk another 10 mins from its front entrance. Bledsoe School in FISD allows to get in 2 directions - Car Pool, Front Side.

Great staff, amazing teachers, active PTA and strong parent / community involvement. Teachers and administration are responsive and actually care about the kids. They take the mission of Frisco ISD (to know every child by name and need) quite literally and we couldn't be happier.
