Our son Ayden has been attending TLCA Abilene for 3 years and we ABSOLUTELY love this school and the staff!....TLCA Abilene goes above and beyond when you need them! They talk with you and not down at you. They truly love their students, parents and faculty and make you feel so welcomed and cared for. I would highly recommend this school to anyone who wants to see a change in their childs education, and youll be able to see how helpful and loving all of the staff is, and even see how amazing the teachers are and see how they will do anything to make sure their students learn the curriculum and then some! If ever an issue arises, its gets solved immediately. You dont get the run around with this school. They have done an AMAZING job at keeping the school safe and sanitary due to Covid...we have never felt uneasy or feared for our son because you can see just how hard they work at everything they do! They are top notch and deserve recognition for everything they do!

They set the bar high but comfortable for the children. Also they support Coorprite punishment. But I'm not sure that it's ever been used. They expect the child to be respectful and act in a decent manner. It's all in the manual.

It's known for working with kids that have disabilities. As a matter of fact. If your child is having problems with disabilities, it's strongly recommended that you send the child to this school to help them. They also work at the kids pace and not there own.

If there is a problem. Make sure to mention it. My daughter is why so she doesn't open up much. It's mostly tween drama. But if someone was really bothering her. I'm confident they would handle the matter accordingly.

It's been wonderful! I think I had one problem with a teacher. I expressed my concern, and haven't heard anything negative since from her. Except the tween drama. One moment there friends the next they hate each other :/ They also have a student advocate that watches your child and doesn't miss a beat when asking questions about them. The teachers also like to convert between each other by email (which there phone rings when they get one,and they check it immediately) which I find comforting. I wants think of anything negative about the school. She had a rough start. But it was a new school and she went from 5th grade having only 1-2 rooms to having to find 8 by herself. But that would probably be hard on any child.

This experience has been wonderful, much better than our experience with AISD. I would definitely recommend TLCA in Abilene for other parents and students. Smaller classrooms, teacher and administrators that care and listen, outside the box learning options and flexibility in the curriculum to help all students reach their full potential.
