On my experience it has been a very good school and safe and always promote events for the parents to participate throughout the year ,my oldest son was there since 1st grade, he is in middle school now ,he made great friends and loved all his teachers .He was receiving also special education interventions and they were great and helpful with him , he's come a long way.
My daughter now soon to be in third grade also loved all her teachers since first grade ,the resource teachers and therapists helped her a lot as well.

This school has exceeded my expectations. Communication is great from the principal and teachers. My son is in 2nd grade and he has had all great teachers. Whenever there is a concern, the teachers have been very open to discuss.

Parent teacher conferences are available at a regular cadence. Any academic concerns were always addressed timely

Unfortunately we had an incident last year and was conferenced in by the assistant principal to address our daughters treatment without us even knowing about it since it occurred during the school day

When my child attended this school they had a program where children apply to be leaders & mentors for aspects based character / helping others out/ appreciating & being kind to one another/ understanding each others differences. Anti bullying policies & awarding kids who show exceptional qualities in the areas of kindness, understanding & helpfulness to others.

The principal and other administration is very engaged & caring. They communicate well with parents. They are very willing to implement helpful ideas & guide their staff & teachers to better themselves.

My son came from a s school (that although we loved) the busy work for HW was not a right fit for him. At SVES they have options for him to study up on Khan Academy for his improvement areas needed. He was way less stressed & overwhelmed the end of each long school day where he worked hard & put his best foot forward. He did have some HW & projects to do which was a good amount. My suggestion would be that they do a parent signed checklist to show that a student is doing a certain amount of the extra studying
