Im not coming back to this school and to be honest, Im happy about it. The principals play favorites and it definitely isnt the good teachers. Two of my teachers left midyear, and most of the coaches are being told not to come back. Make your own conclusions. This place has gone way downhill fast

Excellent dual credit program through UNT and TWU, where students can take and get over a years worth of college credit. Specialized programs like welding to prepare students for the future. There are clubs for every interest. Its a big school with a lot to do but if your child cannot make eye contact or get off their phone they may drown there.

This school has always been tough, but it feels like its getting worse by the day. Classes are out of control, students dont respect teachers, and you can feel the burnout everywhere. Ive already seen several teachers quit, and a lot more are saying theyre not coming back next year, which should be a huge red flag to anyone paying attention. Instead of fixing whats clearly broken, the district seems more focused on fighting Prosper ISD over tax money, and it makes you wonder for what, because that money is just gonna be wasted and mismanaged by Denton ISD. At some point people are going to stop staying quiet, because this isnt fair to the teachers who are trying, the students who actually want to learn, or the families who expect better.

Do not go this school unless you really have to. There is gan presence around this school everywhere you go, especially near the gyms. the students were trying to start a fight with another boys basketball program for no reason.

Students at Braswell High School are rude and careless when crossing U.S. 380 on their way to fast-food restaurants across. They step into traffic without caution, walking very slowly and choosing to cross when traffic is heavy. I have personally seen multiple situations where drivers are forced to stop abruptly in the middle of ongoing traffic because students walk out into the roadway without regard for safety. This behavior is dangerous and increases the likelihood of a serious accident. This is a recurring issue and the school or Denton ISD does not appear to be taking effective action to address student safety or traffic responsibility in the area. Without clearer supervision or enforcement, the situation will continue and may lead to accidents. I am so glad Prosper ISD is getting their tax money Denton ISD was unfairly getting only to be wasted in the Braswell zone.

This school has been under principal decorian's "leadership" for I believe 5 years now. There are 9 principals total. What a waste of resources.
None of the principals talk to each other. There is no accountability.
Everyone just lies to cover up everything. The school silences parents when they voice their concerns as well

Stay away from this school. This is the worst high school Ive seen. Fights happen often, and students who misbehave face no real consequences. They curse at teachers and disrupt class with no discipline. The school is out of control, and the state should step in. Keep away from this school!

Terrible. Coming from prosper isd this is the downgrade of the century. You will learn more about how to sneak a vape into school throughout the year more than any education. If you love watching fights while trying to get to class or lunch, this might be a great fit! And who doesnt love students cussing out these poor first year teachers that the school puts no thought into hiring. Some teachers are legitimately good teachers who are broken down day by day, then by the end of the year all effort in teaching is gone. One plus is the parking.

Worst school ever! There have been 3 lockdowns just this year alone and not once were the parents notified until after the lockdown was lifted. If it wasnt for kids texting their parents and seeing it on social media we wouldnt even know about it until after the fact. Not only that but the school omits information and isnt honest about whats going on in the school. Thank goodness for videos and pictures. There are fights all the time, blatant racism and the coaches are a joke.

Would not recommend this DentonISD to anyone. The teachers and administration are not concerned for the students and ensuring that they succeed. Enrolled a student who was making the honor roll in previous schools and after coming to this school is now in fear of not graduating. They do not deal with maintenance only when something is broken. Not a good system and wish we had never come to this district. I now see why so many houses are for sale.
