I am very disappointed with how this school has handled serious safety concerns involving my son. Since the first day of school, he has been assaulted multiple times including being stabbed in the hand with a pencil and slapped in the face with a lunch box. Despite reporting these incidents, there has been little to no communication or resolution from staff regarding his safety.
The only consistent communication I receive from the school is about lunch balances, not about my childs well being or the investigations into these incidents. A childs safety should always be the top priority. I hope the administration takes these concerns seriously and improves both communication and accountability moving forward.

PTAA North Dallas has been an excellent school choice for my student. He has thrived in this learning environment. The staff, in an incredibly positive way, has invested in my child well beyond the requirements of their profession and his education. As a family, we are known throughout the building, encouraged to be involved and celebrated well along with the entire school community.

We transferred our child to PTAA North Dallas Campus mid-year, and I can confidently say it was one of the best decisions weve made for his education. The staff and teachers went above and beyond to make him feel accepted and welcomed from day one. Their support truly eased the transition and helped him feel like part of the school community right away.
The communication from the teachers and staff has been outstanding. They keep us well-informed and are always responsive, which gives us so much peace of mind as parents. The curriculum is strong and well-rounded, and weve been very impressed with the enrichment experiences offeredour child is engaged, challenged, and genuinely excited to go to school.
PTAA North Dallas is more than just a school; it's a supportive and caring learning environment. We're so grateful for the warm welcome and continued excellence! Highly recommend!

My kids (elem and middle school) have thrived since moment one at PTAA. During our first year, I was so shocked to consistently run into various teachers who would talk to me about specific stories/moments with my kids - their own teachers AND others. Academically, socially, mentally, physically; every aspect of the student is addressed and paid attention to. I appreciate that the schools sees the value of different types of learners and supports them. (I also appreciate that they know kids need to MOVE and they haven't done away with recess/PE.)
Any question I've had has either been already handled proactively or is quickly addressed. I also appreciate that the school offers parents opportunities to stay in the know and feel like they have some say in future directions. From the principal to admin staff to teaching staff, they are accessible and committed. You can't walk into the building without quickly seeing how much these kids are cared for.
Though the school is small (which we LOVE), various clubs and sports push my kids and give them opportunities to grow and experience new things. One discovered a love for marketing through the robotics club, another got to experience a team sport for the first time as an 8th grader, and all four love speaking Mandarin to each other and leaving me out of the convo, ha. Growth/Opportunity is the culture fostered by the staff, so you'll see high schoolers working with and encouraging middle schoolers, and middle schoolers hyping elementary students. Bottom line, we've loved the academics and my kids are growing as well rounded humans through the staff and clubs.

PTAA has been great for our kids. We love the teachers, the administrative staff, and how they welcome parent involvement. This is our third year at PTAA and I am also a substitute teacher there. Both of our kids are excelling academically and have made so many friends.
The teachers genuinely care about the kids and get really creative with their teaching and projects to keep them motivated to learn. Im really excited about the new technologies they are adding including AI learning tools.

My kids have attended for years. All teachers are down to earth and offer many opportunities for the high schoolers to excel. I plan to send my last child here as well.

We are happy with PTAA! It gets better each year. I like the small student to teacher ratio. I have an upper elementary student and high school student. Your child doesnt get lost in the shuffle here. Teachers and principal know and care about your children. I encourage anyone to check it out and see if its a fit for your family!

My boys have been in the PTAA system since PTAA started. We moved them from the Mesquite Middle School/High School campus to the North Dallas Campus when my oldest started 9th grade and my youngest started 6th grade. When the principal Mrs. Tonya Haddox moved from the Mesquite campus to the North Dallas Campus, the school took a turn for the better. Mrs. Haddox as well as all of the teachers on staff care about their students and their families. They are always striving to find ways to help the kids if they are struggling with anything. The teachers provide tutoring if the kids need it and are always working with the parents to help the kids succeed. My boys have enjoyed PTAA and especially the Dallas Campus and the friends they've made there. My oldest graduation from PTAA this year and my youngest will be a sophomore next year. All the students know each other and everyone gets along. It's so nice seeing families inside the school and the feeling of family with the other students and staff. They offer a variety of clubs for the kids to join after school and our sports program is really starting to grow. You won't be disappointed if you decide to join our family at PTAA.

As someone with extensive experience dealing with the large ISDs, this review takes into account the issues that public schools typically face. The immediate feel when visiting this campus is one of a carefully-cultivated culture. The kids are not loud while transitioning, administration is typically out and about interacting with kids throughout the day, and the respect among students and staff is refreshing. You can tell the kids have a great relationship with staff and leadership by watching the interactions. This school feels like a big family. Class sizes are much better than the ridiculous teacher to student ration found in many public schools, which helps teachers to keep kids from falling through the cracks. This particular network of public charter schools does NOT accept students with a previous record of repeated discipline issues, which is helpful in so many positive ways. Teachers can teach and leadership does not have to spend much time with discipline. The STEAM program is in full force, with AI instruction, coding that begins in Kindergarten, robotics, computer science, and programming certifications. Kids can earn their Associate's degree before graduating for FREE, and can now earn a Bachelor's (PAID FOR BY PTAA) if they put their minds to it. I highly recommend taking a tour of this hidden gem in North Dallas. Their marketing mainly consists of word of mouth by current families, which says a great deal about this school. Consider taking a look if you're fed up with over-testing, overcrowding, bullying, and cookie-cutter approaches to education.
